#1 trappedslider Apr 18, 2010 18:08:12	With summer around the corner, i will be able to get more players and this in mind I'm going to hand out a campaign prospectus to those interested and let them rate each campaign on a 1 to 5 scale 1 being don't want to be in it to 5 being I would love to take part. I will then collect them and based on the results which ever one gets the highest rating that will be it. So, here are my plans : 1. "Just another day at the job"     Players will be either security or scientist working at a Top secret Government lab called "Black Mesa" when something horrible happens causing a rift in space allowing aliens to come through. Note: no magic 2. ""Shadow chasers"      Players will be working for Department 7 in investagating strange happenings around the world,while trying to keep the publica unaware of the larger threats along with fighting age old cults that wish to destory the world. Note: low level magic 3. "Interdimensional artifact hunting"      Players work for a company called Artifacts Incorperated. The company's mission is to go other dimensions in which humanity was either killed off by war or some other event and retrive historical artifacts for musems that mark differences in that Earth's time line from the Homeworld's time line. Note: no maigc 4.1.World War Zombie Players will be working for the W.H.O. invesitgating a strange out break of what locals call African Rabies,but its turns out to be somthing else resulting in zombies.  EDIT: 5. Down in the city (D&D 3.5)         A crimianal orginzation has taken control of the city enforcing harsh rules and "protection" fees upon the population. Somehow they have negated all high level magic as well. Will the heros fight back aginst the group or will the join and climb the ranks? Note : low level magic Thats all i have,what about the rest of you? do you guys put together campaign prospectus?

Alien Invasion: We have always feared invasion, ever since colonists encountered "technologically inferior" societies who then fell to rampant expansion, mercantilism, famine, and war. Whenever two such cultures met, the outcome was drastic and final, determining the destiny of both societies. More often than not, one of the two cultures suffers in the exchange. This conflict is known as an Outside Context Problem (OCP), a term first coined by Iain M. Bank in his novel Excession. What if "we" were the "technologically inferior" culture? What if we were invaded by extraterrestrials, just as first-world cultures on Earth have consumed and subsumed other societies? Would they greet us us with open arms? Seek to displace us? Enslave us? Or even…eat us?

I'm not looking to make a gaint list, i'm looking to see if others have done this with thire own groups and how did it work out and what do others think of mine....
#4 narukagami Apr 18, 2010 23:21:07	I would gladly try that with a larger group, say 5+ players. But, as my regular group is rather small and we are all close friends who would see eachother often anyway, it'd be just as easy to ask them which one they'd want to play straight out.
