| #1nclancemanDec 14, 2007 13:26:07 | So last night I was playing The Last Standagain and I started wondering: "What would this be like in d20 Modern?" At that point I immediately stopped and started writing down rules. Then, this morning I woke up and read them. I may have gone overboard. But i'll let you be the judge. ------------------------------------- Barricading Barricading is a new use for the Craft (structral) skill, intended to replicate scenes in zombie movies and occasional episodes of the A-Team where the heroes fortify random structures against an onslaught. |
| #2nclancemanDec 21, 2007 2:26:22 | Almost 90 views, but still no commentary? I thought the damage table would at least bring someone around... |
| #3RagitsuDec 21, 2007 17:43:47 | Expedited Craft (Structural) checks for Improvised Barricade |

| #5octavian_5Dec 29, 2007 14:41:31 | As a fan of the game, I must say... You've thought this out a lot. I'm actually very impressed. Kudos. Now, I must try this on my players... |
| #6nclancemanFeb 18, 2008 17:14:17 | I noticed a couple new zombie apocalypse threads, so I figured i'd this one. |
| #7backstabbistFeb 19, 2008 14:15:57 | gahhhh, dang you Lanceman you have any idea how much time I wasted last light on that stupid game! Instead of addictinggames they should have used worsethanopiumgames..... you just keep shooting zombies... and then you shoot some more.... then you shoot some more.... ahhhrrggg.. Cant talk, must go shoot more zombies. |
| #8nclancemanMay 19, 2008 20:49:28 | Well, since Zombies seem to be a popular topic nowadays and The Last Stand 2 is out, I figured now would be a good time to add stuff to this old thread of mine. Traps: In fortifying your position against the living dead, placement of traps along the way could mean the difference between surviving this night's onslaught or being devoured by your next door neighbor. Propane Tanks: A single propane tank has 5 hp and a hardness of 6. Wiring it to explode is a DC 10 Demolitions check taking ten minutes, using 4 TU (PDC 4) worth of materials. Placing the tank is also a Demolitions check. By default, a propane tank deals 3d6 concussion damage with a 10 foot blast radius with a DC 15 Reflex Save for half damage. Both the damage and the blast radius can be increased by the Demolitions check. Bear Traps: A bear trap may be set with a DC 15 Strength Check and disabled with a DC 10 Survival or Dexterity check, with a failure triggering the trap. Avoiding a bear trap is a DC 12 Reflex Save. The trap itself deals 1d8 bludgeoning damage and pins (as if in a grapple) the victim until they make a DC 25 Strength check. Land Mines: A landmine is set as a normal explosive and buried using a Hide check with a +5 bonus. |
| #9lonewolf_the_hunterMay 20, 2008 2:58:11 | wow I thought I was the only one that thought of the pellet damage as d4's thing, the 19-20 crit is cool to. Now I gotta try this game. |
| #10lonewolf_the_hunterMay 21, 2008 16:29:43 | definitely an addicting game. It also reminds of a zombie game I played on another site, the major deference being you got payed for the zombies you killed and used the cash to buy better weapons and defenses. Anyway just my ![]() |
| #11backstabbistMay 15, 2009 14:56:37 | I cant talk my gaming gang to play this campaign ... they keep asking me "Whats the point?" They just dont get it |
| #12nclancemanMay 17, 2009 4:02:13 | Man, I didn't think I'd be seeing this thread again. I cant talk my gaming gang to play this campaign Who wouldn't want to play a good ole' fashioned zombie apocalypse? |
| #13j0ltMay 20, 2009 10:42:20 | I love those games! This sounds like a great one-shot campaign for a convention or something! |
| #14nclancemanMay 20, 2009 14:06:36 | I love those games! This sounds like a great one-shot campaign for a convention or something! That sounds like it has potential! The scenario from The Last Stand 2 should be easy enough to write up... |

| #17marcoasalazarmMay 30, 2009 13:32:32 | Well, I wouldn't make an entire campaign out of that game... but these have got to be the best barricading rules I've ever seen. |
