| #1herbert_westMar 25, 2009 16:22:03 | I've been looking for the free PDF that was floating around for about 2 years now. It's a D20 Future (I think) horror adventure set on an abandoned exploration vessel. I was starting to think I was crazy (I'm pretty sure I am anyway), or had got its name wrong when lo and behold I found the authors thread about it from back in 2005 on Enworld.org. All the links are dead by now unfortunately. Heres the URL: http://www.enworld.org/forum/publishers-press-releases/158852-modernized-presents-star-toad-adventure.html Now my problem: I've tried contacting the author, but so far no responce and I've combed the interwebs with a fine tooth comb. So I was wondering if anyone else had a copy of it. Or could find it. Or where I could find someone who has a memory of it. So I can extract their brain and find out what they know. Thanks H. W. |

| #4rustam1Mar 26, 2009 20:26:12 | This one? ------------------------ The Star Toad Adventure VEN-DS-9179AS "Star Toad" (An adventure for 4-6 characters of 4th level) Author: Tim Willard Graphics: John Milner, Shinkei Page Design: Ana Vieira A Joint Production between Gallantry Productions, The Brood and UKG Publishing on Behalf of Modernized. ------------------------ Background The Star Toad was picked up on Ganymede long range sensors some 19 Terran Standard hours ago. It emerged from the worm-hole and has drifted ever since. It shows no signs of activity, nor has it replied to any hailing or emitted any broadcasts. Long range visual scan shows that the 9179AS has two crew observation ports open, and the lights inside are flickering intermittently. It is assumed that the craft still has power generated by the radiation output of the singularity that makes up the primary wormhole drive component. A military flyby revealed damage to the airlock. It appears as though a bomb or missile was detonated near it, warping the frame and leaving the outside door half open. No EVA suits can be seen inside, although one image taken by the military flyby does reveal that the interior of the airlock is intact. That, and the fact that the “doorjamb implanted” status display is showing red, bodes well for a party getting on board to salvage the craft and rescue survivors (if any do exist). The possibility is high that the ship is deserted, as the long range shuttles are missing, but the fact that the docking station rings show blast damage may rule out a successful evacuation. ------------------------ |
