when you mess with the gadget system and a gun...

using the m1911 with a base damage of 2d6 adding the sound suppressor we give it a +10 to the dc for listen, add the phasing ammo, teleporting magazine,

Then we add extended range to it giving it a range of 60ft doubling from the 30 feet, then add improved damage so,now its 1+2d6 then improved stopping power making it now 1+3d6...

and thats just with a 2d6 gun....

My anti-sonuva@#$@& machine:

3d12 railgun (most powerful gun in Future if I remember correctly).

Improved Stopping Power modification (+1d12)
Improved Stopping Power ammunition (+1d12)
Variable firing modes (or whatever it's called): Add burst-fire.
Accuracy boost as many times as possible.

5d12 at a +ridiculous to hit.
Burst fire for 7d12 at a +slightly less ridiculous to hit.

I was giving a mecha problems with this gun... which I guess is the point of a futuristic anti-material gun, but still kinda silly considering how tough mecha are supposed to be.

Oh, and I had a pretty decent chance of breaking through a starship's hardness in one shot. That was pretty neat...

Don't forget Mastercraft +3 to damage OR hit weapon, then +3 to damage OR hit ammo (choose the other, as they do not stack).

Also, explosive ammo from Urban Arcana for another +1 die of damage. Mastercraft explosive ammo...damn, that sounds cool.

Weak.

Apply all of the above to the Abrams's main cannon, THEN you have the logic destroying broken goodness of a 12d12 handgun of doom.

my math skills weren't up to the challenge..

Side note : the goons on the top picture on the back of the future tech book look combine soldiers from HL2...

I'm talking about Imp. Stopping power, which actually kicks in another damage die. ;)
Imp. Damage adds a +1 to damage.

Narukagami - I'm just showing that child's play is already broken. The big guns are just... *shudders*

I'm at work, but these are the memorable half life goons (or at least their RL counterpart)

How much does all that stuff cost?

What progress levels is all that available at?

It sounds like remarkably powerful technology, so the question is, how available is it to a PC?

Again, I'm not overly familiar with them, but from what I read briefly, the Progress Levels limit what kinds of tech you can access.

As for Wealth cheats, yeah, there are a lot of them, but many of them are the results of actually not reading the rules correctly, or so I've heard.

Maybe I should [long sigh] actually read Future one of these days. Ugh.

The most broken and logic defying ones are available from PL5.
