#1 dbay Sep 26, 2009 14:02:34	I'm considering posting info for my campaign setting on the site's wiki, so my players can go on and look stuff up- it would be sort of neat to learn about the customs of the people you are saving and what not. A sort of short glossary of the NPCs they've met, too. However, is using this site's wiki a good idea? Am I signing a deal with the devil? will they just whipe all the wiki's content in a site transfer like last time? Am I being paranoid or will I be making a huge mistake? Advice wanted!
#2 Cyber-Dave Sep 26, 2009 17:50:34	Nothing was just deleted in the last site transfer, except for private messages. Also, while some posts did get garbled, people who actually got in touch with WotC in a polite manner got a lot of help in fixing up their damaged posts. My Land of Nod got garbled in the site transfer. I contacted WotC, and WotC_CosmicAngler put a huge amount of work into saving the thread. As a result, all the lost information was retrieved. They even put work into fixing the formatting issues in the thread. As a result it was possible for me to transform the Land of Nod into a wiki space/group. Having had a chance to actually play around with the wiki features, I can honestly say they are amazing. The wiki features have won me over, and actually make me prefer the new site to the old one. My 2 cents, put your stuff up in a wiki. If you are anything like me, you might change your sig afterwords.
#3 backstabbist Sep 26, 2009 23:39:26	dbay- Remember all those great posts inthe d20Future forum and the d20Apoc forum? Whats the odds that in a while WoC will kill and delete the wiki... like Future & Apoc.
#4 dbay Sep 27, 2009 0:29:27	I guess I'll put it up, but keep a backup on my computer. Thanks guys! Also, I forgot that was still in my sig. My opinions haven't really changed but I'm starting to feel like a broken record, I'll change it eventually.
