If I wasn't so busy right now, it wouldn't be that difficult to build a spider capable of roaming the boards and archives for all d20 modern related material. I was even considering implementing one last year when the search function was offline. But right now work is a pain, and I have a camping trip coming up. Maybe some other fine young programmer could help?

RPGs General Discussion
Community Business
As the Die Rolls (off-topic discussions)
d20 Discussion (d20 Modern forum has it's name changed and other d20 discussion added)
RPG Character Optimization
RPG Character Development

We'll make these changes on June 20th, so please spread the word.

Now we have a date....time to plan the good bye party....

Just FYI, I did advocate to Community Management for the survival of the D20 Modern forums in some capacity and, to a small extent, that was achieved with a D20 General forum.

I fully understand (and empathize) that that isn't really enough but I hope that some of you will consider sticking around to see how the new forums will unfold.

For those departing to other shores, happy trails and good gaming.

crazy_monkey:

Thank you very much for advocating for us. Thank you for your understanding as well. Happy gaming and trails to you too.

In general:

As for sticking around to see how develops, I for one will not do that. Placing us in general d20 discussion groups ignores the fact that this is board not merely a information kiosk, but a community.

Moreover, I fear that doing so will simply send a message to WOTC and their Hasbro masters that they can treat us badly and still expect our patronage and money.

One thing I always look for in anything I buy is product support. Having a community board is an excellent (and cheap) way to support a product. That WOTC is not willing to do so shows they do not support their products. It also shows they do not value customer loyalty.

At this point I am very disappointed in WOTC and am regretting not purchasing another modern style role-playing game.

yes, one of the great things about this board has been the community. I remember when Charles Ryan would be here practically every day. I remember when the other d20 modern authors would poke in every once in a while to comment or off aid. Its sad to say that this has changed, and changed for the worse.

I myself will also be boycuttin' WOTC in general from now on. I hope to see you guys on the new forum(s) like BrilliantGameologists.com, so that we can continue creating great homebrew material. We don't need WOTC, they've provided us with some basics, let's continue that stuff somewhere else. And, luckily there are still 3rd Party supplements.

btw. Do you think you could move CyberDave's Guns/Armour Ruleset? It has been of great inspiration for me, as I'm sure it has been for others.
