For example: John McClane is going trying to take out a helicopter with his car. He aims the car for a ramp and bails at the last possible moment while doing 40. He is a Medium-sized creature, going at street speeds, with results in 4 dice of damage (Medium creature) and d4s (Street speeds), McClane takes 4d4 damage. There was an optional rule, I think, to reduce the damage by one speed category by making a tumble check (DC15). EDIT found it: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=d20modern/bp/20030701a I was wrong, it is collision damage x1/2. So, in my above example, he would take a mere 2d4 damage. John McClane would shrug off that like nothing! |
