| #1redmondAug 12, 2009 1:38:16 | So, some time ago, I made a sniper character for a campaign, and it was mediocre. The campaign was put on hiatus for several months and has just gotten back into the swing of things. When I located my scant character notes, I noticed he had an attack option I had simply labeled "Mo," which somehow gave him a +2 to attack and damage using his sniper rifle. For the life of me, I cannot figure out neither where this attack option comes from, nor how it is applied. Anybody who can help me identify this mysterious "Mo" is appreciated. To help, I've included a list of everything that I already know about. Items marked with an asterisk (*) are items I've determined not to be whatever this "Mo" is. Weapon is a Masterwork+1* TacMil sniper rifle (d20F pp63-64) Ammo is White Phosphorus (deals extra fire damage and may even set target on fire) Weapon has an Electro-Optical Scope (d20M pp120) Weapon has an Illuminator (d20M pp120) Relevant Feats: Heroic Surge Personal Firearms Prof Simple Weapon Prof Point Blank Shot* Precise Shot Weapon Focus (TacMil)* Far Shot Dead Aim* Quick Reload Talents/Class Abilities: Evasion Uncanny Dodge 2 Close Combat Shot Defensive Position |

Could "Mo" be short for ammo? 'mo? Was the mo bonus always applied to every attack, or is it circumstantial, do you know? Do you use weapons locker? there are some minor bonuses from things like adjustable fittings or bipods in there. Could it be a bonus granted from another party member? maybe Mo is a character name or something. Like, if you have a field officer (d20 future) he can add stuff to your attack rolls, for example. This is starting to bug me, now I'm curious. Couldn't be a houserule or campaign specific, could it? What books were you playing with? |
