When I'm doing research for a location in a campaign, if it's outside NA, the CIA World Factbook is usually one of my first stops. Even for inside NA, it's got things that generally, people just don't know. Plus Google Maps and Mapquest for their sat views, since it's pretty rare I have campaign travel outside the US, and players just love maps.

If you feel that a thread rates being sticky, contact one of us vial email (it's always the moderators Screen Name followed by "@wizo.wizards.com" - so if you're trying to get ahold of me, for example, it'd be [email=sith@wizo.wizards.com][/email] whereas Cat would be [email=cat@wizo.wizards.com][/email]) and ask. 9 times out of 10 we'll be happy to help. For the record with sticky threads, if the answer is "No" it's usually because sticky threads tend to cause server slowdowns (it's related to the still as yet unsolved Search problem). Repeated bumping of threads (aside from bordering on forum disruption) tends to signal that a thread is ready fo be locked (the general policy is multiple bumps in a single day or when the only recent activity on a thread have been repeated "bumps" - regardless of how far apart they are). Ok, with all of the above said, I'm going to sticky this thread as I think it's useful and a worthwhile addition to the online community (just bear in mind the aformentioned stuff for next time, OK? thanks). I'll also try to find the "Abandoned Subway Station" website I posted awhile back. *Stick*

#112 MechaPilot May 14, 2010 19:39:22	I didn't see it on the compiled list in the OP, but the D&D Wiki has some D20 Modern Homebrew stuff worth looking at (here).  I've found that, even if I don't use any of it, it's good for stimulating your own creativity. Also, I just added my Toon PC race to the wiki (here) for anyone who wants to use it.

#117 frodie Aug 13, 2010 1:25:41	This is a re-imaging of the MSRD for the Pathfinder Role Playing Game. The dataset can be found at: forums.wolflair.com/showthread.php?t=110... This is a beta file and is not complete yet. At the moment the only Core MSRD, (minus the advanced classes, they are coming later on), was converted over, (there are place holder files for the other settings).   A lot was changed to put into the Hero Lab Pathfinder dataset.  Some of this was done due to software and programing skills limits. Some rules were changed to fit easier into the Pathfinder setting. I will go over a few to help navigate through the dataset. Occupations are now traits. They are now assigned 2 class skills each. Action and Reputation points are out and all Feats, Talents and/or Abilities were adjusted to fit the change. Wealth Bonus is now a skill. All the gear and items have the original Wealth DC, but there was no real way of converting everything to gold and/or work in a Wealth roll otherwise. It’s not perfect, but close. All classes get an AC bonus every other level. The Base classes (the only ones in at the moment) are listed under NPC classes and all go up to 20th level with added new Talents. Feats that are similar to a Pathfinder feat were not copied over. Just the new feats were put in. Weapons – Are assigned either: simple, martial and/or exotic weapons. There is no archaic weapon, and or firearm feats.  Skills – Skills were already rolled over into the Pathfinder setting were removed. Repair is rolled over into the craft skills. Treat injury was rolled over into heal, etc. FX – same as feats, whatever was similar to a Pathfinder magic item and/or spell was not copied over. Just the new items and spells were put in. Weapon Enhancements are under Item Powers, (like adding keen to a weapon). There are a few Occult Languages added and are listed under Secret language. That is all I can think of at the moment. More will be coming later on, but this is a good start for the community.  I can be reached on the Hero Lab forum under the user name: Frodie. OGL parts from "Blood and Brains" from RPGObjects - trying to see if the prestige class will work as Archetypes - kind of so/so at the moment. Still working on getting things closer to the MSRD, (like the Occupation traits - letting the user pick from a list of skills), and still need to input the advance classes, etc.   Kevin

Anyway, I did some work on a few Modern based game extensions, etc (air&fighter combat, WoT Modern, Power Overwhelming). I lost all of my original work on them, and the websites I maintained them on are either gone (carai an aman) or far out of date (even for my last work on them). If anyone has copies of them, please let me know.
