| #1tarotwarriorApr 12, 2010 23:06:32 | Hello everyone, I know the conversation about mixing d20 modern with D&D base classes has been overdone and proven to be very much unbalanced, but I really like me some modern fantasy setting, and continued brainstorming on how I could house rule it to make it work... |
| #2backstabbistApr 13, 2010 0:27:13 | lets explore just one of those class conversion/swaps: MA and Monk What is the reason that Monk needs to be brought in ... what is missing in Modern classes that Monk class brings? |
| #3cleomenesApr 13, 2010 11:46:10 | Wasn't this the idea behind D20 Urban Arcana? I suggest you go and pick that up! It's exactly how you describe, a setting with cell phones and DnD monsters. |
| #4tarotwarriorApr 13, 2010 12:12:22 | Hm, you have a really good point, backstabbist. I guess I got so distracted by the fluff that I didn't realize they still pretty much the same. And I'll definitly look into Urban Arcana, Cleomenes. Thanks for the tip! |

If you do find a gap, then you can import a specific class, for a specific reason, but if it ain't broke don't fix it. |
