Why not remake Baldur's Gate 1 & 2 and IWD 1 & 2...

...using the KOTOR engine for console systems? If done carefully and properly, I'm sure Wizards and Bioware can put out a killer console RPG. I mean why do we have to put up with lame, anime style drivel out there? After all, KOTOR 1 and 2 allowed deep customization to a certain degree.

For that matter, are there ANY non-anime style rpgs for the consoles (aside from Morrowind and Fable)? The only one that come to mind is D&D Tactics for the PSP. Mind you, Everquest is okay... as is the hack & slash brawlers Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance but come on... Something different is needed!

That really doesn't answer my question. Then again, I should've been more specific but I thought I was clear.

I'm not talking about a sci-fi romp. I mean Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale themselves which were on the PC. Minsc, dragons, gnomes. A Forgotten Realms game for current gen systems using an improved version of the engines used in KOTOR and Jade Empire would be cool. I've had it with these anime style rpg's

Because Bioware doesn't have sole rights to the Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale series (you can thank Black Isle/Interplay for that).
