I think what you're asking for is whether there will be a d20 Modern 2 based on D&D 4. If there is a Modern 2 I think it will be quite different from D&D 4. There has been a fair amount of negative feedback from the 'roleplayer' types in D&D 4 and Modern is naturally less balanced than D&D. I suspect Modern 2 will be a D&D 4.5 - a test ground for an eventual D&D 5. Like Saga was a sort of 3.75.

But that I'm afraid, is a long way away. All focus on development at the moment appears to be on D&D4.

Development of 4e is done. You're referring to the continuing expansion of the 4e line.

Now that 4e is out in the market, a few can now focus on developing a new d20 Modern successor to be out next year or the year after that, to be followed by a d20 GSL.

Depends how they market it. My first suggestion, don't use "d20 Modern" in the title. You can put that label anywhere on the package, just not on the title. Look what happened to the D&D films.

Perhaps, but I'm fine with Mutants & Masterminds.

d20 Transformers.

Not a fan of licensed products. Better to publish clones, like Shadow Chasers is a clone of Buffy/Angel/Special Unit 2.

I would seriously like to know how to dice stat my planetary weapon emplacements! Seriously thinking along the lines of instead of having to roll like 25D8's, roll 5-10D8's and multiply by four or five? The same goes for stating my military hardware that I've been creating!
