Apr 22, 2008 11:11:29 I will be runnign a game soon where the players are ordinary people in a peaceful, happy, good ol' American town. You know, baseball and apple pie type stuff. Anyways, this is taking place in WWII, and the Germans "dust" the country, causing the homefront to be infested with ZOMBIES!!!! How should I pull this off. The players will be choosing from different characters, such as the star quarterback, the mayor's daughter, and the new deputy. Any advice would be appriciated.

Another thing is, what kind of campaign are you looking at? Apocalypse? WW2? And how are the zombies "created"? What does the dust do? Does it kill people and reanimate them? Or does it reanimate people that die?

Basically, I need some more details before I can come with advice. It sounds like a fun game though. ;)

Edit: Saw your sig. Is it in the 50s? Has WW2 taken a bad (I mean, 'worse') turn hasn't ended in 1945?

Apr 26, 2008 17:40:46 It will be happening right around the time America enters the war. The player's will be lvl 1, with the possible exception of one or two of them. Those might be lvl two.
It won't be apocalypse, and near the end, the player's will fight a few Nazi's. The game should end near 5th lvl.
So, the Nazi's are doing their creepy science work, and come up with a formula to make zombies. This helps because it spreads panic and the former enimies can be used as allies. They make this formual into a dust, and pour it over most of America. Having made a deal with a munitions factorey near the town the players are in, the Nazi's have one base set up in the Mid West.
the powder will make a few of the NPC's sick, and they will die. From there on, anyone that dies via zombie bite will rise as a zombie. The powder will reanimate any dead flesh it touches, causing a plauge very soon.
One major problem I have is making maps of cities or areas. So a major way anyone could help is by drawing up a basic map. You help would be very apprieciated.
Thanks to everyone who has even spent time looking at my ideas, and an extra thanks to you who have replied.

P.S. I meant 40s. The war would be ending, but the damn Reich just would not die!
