Distortion, White Out and Typhoon are the choices this time.
First off, none of these is real Dew, at least not yet. No concentrated orange juice at all on the ingredients list. Maybe that will change eventually, LiveWire did undergo a formula change at one point; I hated it when it came out, and it didn't have the COJ then, and then I looked at it again a couple years ago to give it another try and found that now it did and I love it now.
Distortion: 'Lime blasted Dew'. Lime is fake-tasting and not in the good way. Has a horrid aftertaste. The can is dull and uninteresting and the fake lime is overwhelming to the point you don't taste the dew. I have to say, I don't really like this one and finishing the twelve pack will probably be a chore. Kind of amusing, I thought from the descriptions that it would be my favourite. Nope. This is the worst one I've tried since I couldn't make it through a single can of Pitch Black.
White Out: 'Smooth Citrus Dew'. At first I couldn't identify a blasted thing about this, other than that it was in fact smooth and citrus-y and lacked the awful aftertaste. Still had a bit of one but it wasn't unpleasant. After a few minutes it dawned on me what I was tasting in it and what it reminded me of: Grapefruit, but not a sharp grapefruit at all. Like the child of Mountain Dew and Squirt. The can is much more interesting and it's by far my favourite of the three.
Typhoon: I forget the retarded tagline, which is amusing since I just finished the can I tried, but it's 'Tropical' Dew. It's... Pink Baja Blast. That was my first thought upon tasting it. It's not identical, but it's similar. Fake pineapple is the predominate flavor, with the usual other tropical punch ones. It's basically tropical punch dew. It's not bad. Not my favourite, but if it wins I could live with it. It's at least not as disgustingly syrupy as Game Fuel was. Can looks tacky.
So, final ranking is White Out > Typhoon > Distortion. I honestly think Typhoon or Distortion will win, but I'm hoping for White Out. May have to stockpile it just in case. (All flavors I've tried of Dew ranking would be: Code Red > White Out > Livewire > Typhoon = Baja Blast > Original > Game Fuel > Supernova > Revolution > Voltage > Distortion > Pitch Black.)

Well ive tried all 3 of them now. I think i like the green one the best, Distortion. It tasted like green popsicles, and those are my favorite. the Typhon tasted like Hawiian Punch and the White Out tasted like Sprite, really they should try to make these flavors more original. Why would i buy Sprite flavored Mtn Dew if i can just buy Sprite? Well let me rephrase that, why would i buy Sprite flavored Mtn Dew AGAIN? Although the Typhon did taste better with gin. My wife is a little upset cause i didnt just buy regular Dew, she hates the crazy flavored stuff. Shes big into that Flashback or whatever they call it where they use real sugar instead high fructose corn syrup. honestly i cant tell the difference.So yeah my vote is for the Distortion, unless gin is added then its Typhoon.

(I still love you though) White Out doesn't even remotely taste like Sprite, and Distortion doesn't remotely taste like anything but chemicals. ;-P

OP: At the bottom of your list, did you mean Pitch Black, or Pitch Black II? Pitch Black was up ther ewith Code Red, a nice grape flavor with the Dew undertone. Pitch Black II was vile in the extreme. The overloaded it with citric acid, and gave it a sharp, sour taste.

Pitch Black. I loathed it so much I never even went near Pitch Black II, which sounded repulsive even if I'd liked PB.
Pitch Black, incidentally, was my heartbreaker flavor. Loved Dew, loved Grape, it should have been heaven on earth but it was so so horrible and awful and soul-destroying.
White Out - not bad; orange flavor
Typhoon - tastes like pineapple, but it's ok
Distortion- crap... and I even like lime in most things. It doesn't taste much different than just drinking lime water with a little bit of carbonation.
The main issue I have with all three of the new flavors is that there's no Mt. Dew flavor to any of them. When you drink Code Red it has a different flavor, but you can still tell it's M. Dew. White out is good, but it could be pretty much any brand of orange soda; there's nothing which connects it to Mt. Dew.

Awww i love you too man! but yeah it tastes like chemicals, yummy artificial lime flavored chemicals. Artificial lime has got to be my 2nd favorite artificial flavor, 1st fav being artifical watermelon flavor, 3rd would be the stuff they put on your popcorn at the theater, not sure what that stuff is but it aint butter, still i love the taste, one of the main reasons i even bother going to see a movie, that would probably be a poor choice for a Dew flavoring though.
Whiteout sounds the most promising.
I actually surprisingly didn't really like Throwback. Then again, I'm not much for regular Dew these days.

So ive now tried all three flavors and the green one is now my favorite with white-out a close second and typhoon (fruit punch) a shameful third...it tastes like every other fruit drink ever
