Anyone have a copy of pre d20 7th Sea around here that they are willing to part with?

Got the PDF, (legally, from drivethru) but no dice on the paper copy. Which is a pity, it's a fun system, though it does go out of its way to protect the PCs.

I found the Dark Sun box set and the non-fluff peripherals (Will and the Way, Complete Gladiator Handbook, etc) all for a combined $40.

Ebay's the way to go.

The real Spanish Inquisition never did it. The people who went to your house to kill you were the rojos (red ones) for the Spanish Civil war.

Catholic Church wasn´t sciencie-phobic. The first Universities were built by Church.

I don´t want more anti-Catholic subtext in RPGs (White Wolf, are you reading me?). When the comunism will be the evil faction in a official rpg?

Aug 31, 2008 19:44:38 My FLGS has some 7th Sea stuff on the shelves, though I'm not exactly sure what vintage it is... I'll try to remember to check next time I'm there.

(I love that place - it's been in business for more than 30 years... It's like a museum of gaming history, you never know what's collecting dust stuffed toward the back on lower shelves.)

Sep 01, 2008 13:05:24 I´m sorry, but when I see the fantasy equivalent to "the name of the rose" I feel like a Northamerican native/indigenous when he see a far-west movie where the evil is Sitting Bull, Geronimo, the scalphunters, Apaches, Sioux and company. (I am giving a hipotetical example to explain with comparison, please, nobody be offended).

It´s a fictional universe but it promotes predjudices from real world. I don´t spend my money buying books (nothing about illegal copies) to feel being insulted. In the past saints as Albertus Magnus or Isidore of Seville, were the best mind of that age. The pope Sylvester II himself was a great promoter of science.
