Jan 30, 2011 23:58:17 In the last year and a half I have gone through approximately 11 cell phones. luckily T-mobile replaced the first 9 for free. They would have replaced the 10th one for free, but before I received the return box from T-mobile my phone fell into the sink with the water running. I had to replace that one myself. Friday, I dropped that one in water as well. Now I need a new phone.

I need a new cellphone. I need one of those waterproof, impact resistant cellphones. I want a cellphone that can survive my clumsiness. I want it to be so tough that if I have to, I can use it to kill a person with.

So... anyone know of such a mighty phone?

But aside from snark I got nothin' for you. My current phone is on two years and the one before that lasted about six or so, and both were the cheapest phone I could get with no beanies or special features. I resent that my current phone has a camera (I couldn't get one without one).

As long as I can use it it's cool. It can be for tmobile or any other phone that can be found unlocked.

Why not opt for a blue tooth with a really good ear starp?

You shouldn't fall and you'll look like one of those cool Wall Street type.

The problem isn't when I'm using it, it is when I'm not using it. I need a phone that can survive falling on the ground and in water. Besides, if he can't make it look good...

Jan 31, 2011 10:29:00 I actually need it to be waterproof. I lost a previous phone due to the rain. I keep the pone in my pocket and one day I got caught in one of the torrential storms we get here during the summer. I took it out once I was inside and it was dripping water.

Not sure if it's available in the U.S. yet. I haven't been able to find it yet.

Jan 31, 2011 11:44:50 shiiiiiiiiii,t I carry around a sandwich bag when I'm on my boat and if it looks like rain i'll pop my phone in that sandwich bag and BOOM! waterproof.

Jan 31, 2011 13:29:13 Yeah, my brother fishes as much as possible and does a lot of it wading or canoing in rivers. He also needs his fragile Blackberry with him at all times for work. He has a plastic case that's waterproof and will float if dropped. He attaches it to his pack or jacket with a lanyard and there ya go. Safe, inexpensive and waterproof.

... it's not the blue tooth that makes that picture bad, it's that goatee. He can pull off the full beard and all-over stubble, but not a goatee.

Jan 31, 2011 14:23:04 I actually think he can pull of the goatee well. The bluetooth unit, though, looks like something from like 10 years ago. My set is quite small, black and has no gigantic light on it. Hell, I've seen bigger headsets than that that are also sleeker. It's just an ugly headset.

It's cheap and even though I may not be able to bludgeon someone with it before it breaks, it seems sturdy enough to survive through most of my clumsiness. While reading all the info I noticed that this phone is covered by an amazon warranty. The funny thing is that this warranty does not cover this waterproof phone if there is "exposure to moisture or dampness, unauthorized modifications, unauthorized connections, unauthorized repair, liquid damage..."
