Good morning, everyone. *waves*

I know this might not be received terribly well here but for lack of a better place to put it, here I am! (You poor people.)

To start, I’ve been a long time fan of Dungeons and Dragons since late second edition (remember the core books with the black borders?), but having had few people to play with over the course of time, I rarely had many games. However, when Neverwinter Nights came out, I had a rather long off/on affair with it until eventually finding myself writing a fiction based upon a character I used to play on an RP server.

So, probably a few months since beginning, I’m kind of closing in on the ending and I was looking to share it, I guess. Both for selfish reasons (I love to write and want to get better) and just generally because I think -someone- out there might enjoy it.

There are some minor changes from Forgotten Realms canon but I don’t think anything major league screams out. Oh. . . Also, there’s a bit of an issue with grammar in the earlier volumes but I’ll get to fixing that after I finish the rest of it.

So far, we’re at 130 thousand words and still have 2 volumes to go, so there’s a fair bit of work invested and (what I hope is a good) story to read up on if you find it to your liking.

I don’t know how many readers out there, but I thought I’d put the link up anyway in hopes that someone might find it interesting and it’d keep me motivated to write more on it as well as work on other (salable) works.

About the fiction:

Kathrine Stoneriver is a young priestess in service to Chauntea who’s fallen into a portal, taking her on a whirlwind tour of the multi-verse. Along the way she makes a new friend who has a secret and holds a relic that can give someone anything they want, even godhood. Yet the people she’s stolen it from not only want it back, but know her secret and will stop at nothing to ensure it's silenced.

The pull of the relic and the promise it offers will also test Kat’s sense of duty as she is forced to choose between her duty to the gods she's sworn to serve or her heart and the promise of freeing one of her family members from the Wall of the Faithless. Between dragons, fanatics and her own heart, ‘trouble’ will become a familiar friend.

Rated T for some minor cursing and implied sexuality (nothing explicit, you needn’t fear blush factor).

So, below is the link. Please feel free to send your thoughts to my PM box either good bad or indifferent or post them here if you don’t care whether or not others read them. If something doesn’t strike your fancy and you have constructive criticism to add, don’t feel you need to hold back, I have thick skin and I want to get better at the craft.

My ego doesn't need -that- many carbs to sustain itself and I don't bite. Hell, even a line saying 'yeah this isn't my thing, but I liked/didn't like/think you could improve on X Y or Z' would be helpful.
