Only a littel. Every election, I have to vote for who I think will do the least damage, rather than the most good. That's a sad thing. I could almost welcome our machine overlords at this point.

Trust me, you don't want ZB or me.

We're too independent to be commies.

But I am employed :-p  I don't spend money unless I'm earning it.

Nah, communism is about stifling creativity, because 'everyone is equal' regardless of whether they rot like a sack of meat in the summer sun doing nothing, or come up with the next Breakthrough technology.

We already live in a society where everyone is equal (aren't we all equal under the law, for example?).

In theory, sure.  But some of us have to bring 14th amendment violations into court to get it realized.

Not completely. Two horses out of the race but not a third.

You mean like France banning Burkas, Canada and Britain criminalizing hate speech and Russia only recently allowing a pride parade in Moscow?  How about Canadian authorities impounding lesbian erotica, Germany having a flat-out ban on anything related to Nazis?  Australia and it's treatment of aboriginees?

I'll admit to not knowing the finer points of current Russian governmental structures, but it certainly appears to be a representative democracy in the same rough form as other representative democracies.  Elected president, head of the executive branch, elected representatives for the legislative branch, appointed judges for the judicial branch...

I don't care what you guys say, I'm excited to watch the Republican primaries. Not a single candidate that can stand out of the pack... yet. They are going to bludgeon eachother with total brutality so they can stand out. It's going to make Game of Thrones seem like a kid's TV show.

There will be much joy in watching them destroy each other.  Question is, which one is going to try to court Glenn Beck first?

It isn't going to be Huckabee that's for sure. They already got into it.

I'm down for imposing world communism by the sword ... so long as I'm recognized as one of the founders of the revolution and suitably admired afterwards.  I envision lavish palaces, expensive vehicles and never doing a days work again - aside from ordering executions of those that dare speak against our new world order, of course.  You know, all in the name of equality for all.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.  I will have given much and will need much, much more.
