| #3homicidal_squirrelJul 17, 2012 21:42:58 | whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat Dave the Beast Batista is going mma??? Well, to be fair, no he isn't going to be doing MMA. He's going to step into an octagon then he is going to knocked out of MMA. So it's more like MMA is going to be doing him. |
| #4sfdragonJul 17, 2012 23:44:20 | ahh... you sure bout that |
| #5homicidal_squirrelJul 17, 2012 23:48:38 | ahh... you sure bout that Yes. Very sure. |
| #6EscefJul 18, 2012 8:26:47 | I turned 30 in basic combat training, and compared to the shape I was in then? Seriously, this guy looks like he could rip my legs off and beat a gorilla to death with them. |
| #7zombie_babiesJul 18, 2012 14:44:05 | There's a lot more to MMA than size. Age is one of those 'a lot more' things. So's stupid stuff like talent, training, experience, etc. ![]() EDIT: An' if ya'all be doubtin', ask Brock Lesnar an' Bobby Lashley how well their pro wrasslin' careers - and their size - prepared them for MMA. Specifically, ask them how it prepared them to handle one of the most complex* aspects of the game - takin' a punch to the grill. ;) ___________________ *This 'complex' thing is a joke. It's not complex. It's something you can or can't do. And it's something that if you can do, you still need to get used to doing it. Brock 'n' Bobby? Can't. Or, at least, haven't yet. |

Though, going from pro-"wrestling" to MMA seems like it would be difficult. They're both physically demanding, but the skill set does strike me as being very different. (Other than the ability to work through some pain.) |
| #9zombie_babiesJul 18, 2012 16:11:04 | That's my point. Any experience he has is most certainly not in MMA. He's a newb. Actually, he's an old man newb. Not a good thing to be when your sport of choice is a brutal one. |

He learned he needed to get back to wresling as fast as he could before someone thought it wwould have been real funny to put him in with Junior Dos Santos. |

Yeah, maybe Dana should sign him and give him an immediate title shot. Then again, I think even putting him against, I dunno, Pat Barry would be a lot of fun.Dude, what are you talking about?
