#1 Pyrate_Jib Nov 12, 2010 12:56:02	While I understand that actors who take on the roles of Super Heros/ Villains want some exposure/ face time why does it seem that none of them ever want to put on the mask (or once they do seek every chance to remove it)? There are some exceptions to the above statement (Heath Ledger as the Joker comes to mind).  Most of the better done Supers keep the mask on longer and stay true to the original character concept. Am I wrong?
#2 adun_irving Nov 12, 2010 20:12:08	Too often, actors are preoccupied with the fame and not the art, which is from whence true fame is derived. You could put Humphrey Bogart in a pink tutu, and he'd still be an awesome actor with the perfect '40s badass attitude. If an actor makes himself - not just the character - memorable in a role where you can't even see his face, then you know he's destined for greatness.
#3 evilvegan Nov 16, 2010 10:54:52	Spiderman 3, much? Venom had the presence of mind to have his symbiot uncover his face so he could talk to Peter Parker (who also had his mask off)? Yeaaaaa. Iron Man had the cutshots to behind the mask which I felt was a much better approach, but not something you can do with skin-tight spandex masks.
