Aug 09, 2008 14:21:40 London has all kinds of hidden-streets and the like under it - I can't remember which one, but one of the big, famous stores (either john Lewis, Selfridges or one of them) has a small connection into one of them from it's basement - they showed it on TV, a perfectly preserved road, just underground. I kind of remember it being mentioned at 17th century

Manchester has one too - runs from St. Annes Square to deansgate
