My wife's go-to drink lately has been something called a gummy bear.  It's got vodka, some flavored shnapps, sour mix and sprite or something in it.  And I'll be damned if it doesn't taste exactly like a gummy bear.

If your wife likes those kind of drinks, she would enjoy drinking down here on the beach. You can get drunk and diabetes all in one night

Yeah, them things are loaded with sugar.  Can't drink that crap myself.  It's a friggin' hangover in a glass.  Considering she's hypoglycemic, her taste in booze is especially bad.  She was bein' good an' drinkin' stuff with less sugar - like bourbon - but has regained her sweet booze tooth.  At least she rarely drinks more than two.

With enough of those drinks she'll get gummy hair!

Tee hee!

Remember to buy the giant gummy bears.

I'm not sure what purpose this serves. It takes several days to infuse the gummi bears with liquor, you lose a bunch of booze in the process, and you can't even carry them around like normal candy afterward. Why not just eat the candy and drink the shot?

Once again the old adage "just because you can do something doesn't mean you should" is proven true.

It's likely you can use a lower proof vodka (the watered down crap) to make these things portable.  When my wife used to make jello shots, she quickly discovered that anything over 80 proof would make the shots unstable at room temp.  Ok, that sounds really dramatic but all I mean is that they'd melt from the alcohol.  Lower proof means better survivability at room temp.  So that could be the answer here.  But it's still kinda dumb cuz it takes so long to do.

I used to have a fridge that could freeze vodka. My mates and I spent many a long summer night playing the NES and slurping grape vodkasickles.

I'm not a huge vidya gamer and I'm not a huge fan of vodka but this sounds simply wonderful.

Isn't the whole point of vodka being that it can't freeze?

...Mr. Freeze I'm on to you!
