| #1kittenstewJul 30, 2008 15:55:36 | So, my co-worker and I have been talking about Pizza today. We tried to order it for lunch and it became somewhat of a gong show. I like MEAT Pizza and he doesn't like All-Meat pizzas (he prefers Chicken on his Pizza). A 2nd Co-worker thinks chicken on pizza is basically a mortal sin and insists Pizza is all about the anchovies (I do not like anchovies myself). There was also a disagreement on Crust. I am Neutral on Crust and the 1st Co-worker thinks crust is the best thing about pizza ("It is like little breadsticks after your done the pizza part, and who doesn't like breadsticks?") while the 2nd Co-worker hates crust. We eventually settled on a place that sells individual pizzas and we all sat down and enjoyed our own type of pizzas. To sum up: -Co-worker 1 thinks the new power system on Chicken Pizza is better. -Co-worker 2 thinks the old Skill point system on Meat Pizza is better. -I Like a little from column A and a Little from column B. What is your favorite Pizza and do you like crust? |
| #2_jayne_cobb_Jul 30, 2008 16:01:33 | A 2nd Co-worker thinks…Pizza is all about the anchovies Well, he is going to hell for lying and so his opinion can safely be ignored. |
| #3imthedmJul 30, 2008 16:05:56 | I used to like anchovie untill I actually looked at one. |
| #4kittenstewJul 30, 2008 16:09:33 | Well, he is going to hell for lying and so his opinion can safely be ignored. Co-worker 2 is a she actually, and on your recommendation I will put her on my ignore list. :D |
| #5_jayne_cobb_Jul 30, 2008 16:14:16 | You joke, but real life does indeed have an ignore button. Generally it is located below the barrel, forward of the grip. For some reason, though, people tend to get all bent out of shape when you use it. |
| #6encaraJul 30, 2008 16:14:54 | So, my co-worker and I have been talking about Pizza today. We tried to order it for lunch and it became somewhat of a gong show. A 2nd Co-worker thinks chicken on pizza is basically a mortal sin and insists Pizza is all about the anchovies (I do not like anchovies myself). Oh I see what you did there.... (And I'm a simple pepperoni guy, although I'll eat just about any pizza with meat [including chicken] and without vegetables) |
| #7kittenstewJul 30, 2008 16:28:00 | Ya, I'm not a big fan of vegitables on pizza either. I don't get vegitarian pizzas. The only vegitable I want on my pizza is the tomato sauce. |
| #8encaraJul 30, 2008 16:30:17 | Ya, I'm not a big fan of vegitables on pizza either. I don't get vegitarian pizzas. The only vegitable I want on my pizza is the tomato sauce. And tomato happens to be a fruit, so that's a win all around! |
| #9kittenstewJul 30, 2008 16:35:22 | And tomato happens to be a fruit... I always forget that. Although I can't say I would really want a fruit pizza either. Sometimes pineapple is OK, but for the most part, veggies and fruit are out. I do like veggies and fruit, just not on my pizza. |
| #10freedeathJul 30, 2008 16:44:10 | I just ate a 10th level pizza. Without Anchovies or Chicken. Best combo IMHO Pepperoni, Mushrooms & Black Olives. |
| #11pigknightJul 30, 2008 18:23:54 | Ham + Thick Crust = Pun-Pun of pizza. |
| #12farmer42_dupJul 30, 2008 22:42:46 | New York crust, with ham/canadian bacon, peperoni, sausage/salami, and tomatoes on top is my vote. It's a hearty pizza, but easily foldable and very, very tasty. coming in a close second in Pizzaria Uno's. |
| #13ocarina_guyJul 30, 2008 22:50:10 | Canadian bacon isn't even real bacon! It's ham! |
| #14killerdungeonmasterJul 31, 2008 0:41:02 | I had to deliver a pizza that had no sauce, no cheese and just bell-peppers, olives and mushrooms. In the biz, we called them crackers. ![]() ***** |
| #15dragonspiritJul 31, 2008 2:02:31 | All traditional meat, except bacon, is good on pizza. I don't like what bacon does to it though, it always gets dry and crusty on pizza. I am indifferent to ham or ground beef, but accept them. And anchovies are horrible, just horrible things. Most veggies are good and are needed for good crunch and contrast. I don't like pineapple on it because it juices on everything. And while a pizza can be good (but not great) with just meat it can not be good at all with just veggies. You need at least one meat on a pizza. Ideally a pizza would have Pepperoni, Sausage, Salami, Linguisa, Olives, Mushrooms, Bell Peppers and Onions. Oh, and extra cheese. You can't go wrong with more cheese. And a little red pepper and, oh yeah, parmesean cheese. And crust should be thin as should sauce, just enough to keep it damp and enough structure to support all those glorious toppings and cheese. But I will eat extra crust so long as I have a hearty side of ranch to dip it in. Then again, I could probably eat old gym shoes if I had enough ranch dressing - it is truly the fix all in culinary. |
| #16calronmoonflowerJul 31, 2008 2:30:57 | What is your favorite Pizza and do you like crust? Hungry Howie's makes my favorite pizza. I generally got there $15 special that included a two pizza. One with garlic crush and one with Cajun. Both had jalapeños and hot peppers with extra cheese. The side where nice as well. As for crust I like it quite a bit. It's one of the reasons that I like that place so much. Too bad there isn't one near where I live now. |
| #17AaronOfBarbariaJul 31, 2008 2:50:16 | I like MEAT Pizza and he doesn't like All-Meat pizzas (he prefers Chicken on his Pizza) I fail to see the disconnection here, chicken is meat. A 2nd Co-worker thinks chicken on pizza is basically a mortal sin and insists Pizza is all about the anchovies (I do not like anchovies myself). It seems that the human animal has lost almost all survival instinct. Chicken Bad! Hairy fish with pungent stench good! <-- backwards. I wonder if Skunk is a wolf's favorite pizza topping. Canadian bacon isn't even real bacon! It's ham! Not to mention that Canadians happen to refer to it as ham. Go America, look smart. What is your favorite Pizza and do you like crust? My favorite pizza strictly speaking is free pizza. Though when it comes to toppings I only have a few rules 1) this is pizza, not salad. keep it light on veggies and fruit. I'll occasionally eat pineapple, olives, or peppers on a pizza 2) This is pizza, not a taco, and not seafood either. No fish, no lettuce, no onions... if i wanted those things I would make a tuna sandwich. 3) No pork, not even bacon. Something about pork products gives me a nasty headache. Other than that... My favorite is actually jut plain ol' Mushroom. Adding olives and pepperoni is fine.. but sort of cheapens it for me. As far as crust goes... I love bread, so my favorite crust so far is Foccacia bread crust... which is really only available on DiGiorno and home made pizzas around here so far... which is odd considering that there are literally 14 pizza places within 1 mile of my home. |
| #18farmer42_dupJul 31, 2008 2:57:40 | As far as crust goes... That really depends on what's popular in the area. I'm all of an hour away from Chicago, but we have more places here that serve thin-crust pizza than deep-dish. And it isn't even a small number. There must be a sold 30 different pizza places here in town, and of those, only three have deep-dish, that I can think of at the moment. |
| #19AaronOfBarbariaJul 31, 2008 3:03:01 | Hungry Howie's makes my favorite pizza. I generally got there $15 special that included a two pizza. One with garlic crush and one with Cajun. Both had jalapeños and hot peppers with extra cheese. The side where nice as well. My area too has lost the hungry howie''s phenomenon... man was their pizza good. But I guess it's hard to start up in a place that is sometimes called "the pizza capital" because of the sheer volume of pizza places around. |
| #20AaronOfBarbariaJul 31, 2008 3:06:25 | That really depends on what's popular in the area. I'm just saying that a lack of diversity in options for your pizza is odd when you get to the point where there are 3 pizza places literally just across the street from each other, and another 1 block away. |
| #21ADHadhJul 31, 2008 8:09:15 | What is your favorite Pizza (...)? Edible, preferably warm. Everything else is not as relevant. |
| #22zombie_babiesJul 31, 2008 9:21:54 | Ham + Thick Crust = Pun-Pun of pizza. QFT Ham/thick crust pizza lovers rule! The rest drool! :D |
| #23_jayne_cobb_Jul 31, 2008 9:22:56 | Canadian bacon isn't even real bacon! It's ham! That's why in Canada we call it "ham", and we call bacon, well, "bacon". I have no idea why Americans insist on calling ham "Canadian Bacon". Very odd. |
| #24AndronJul 31, 2008 11:09:42 | Well, if I am going to Pizza Hut, I like the Hawaiian pizza or the supreme, thick crust. If I am making it at home, I like the organic Dandelion pizza sauce, 3 cheese, and either ham and pineapple or pepperoni- either real or fake doesn't matter. The crust is thick and made out of wheat. If I am buying a frozen premade pizza I like the thin crust goat cheese and veggie pizza. If I buy a premade pizza that is not precooked or frozen I like the buffalo wing pizza, which is typically in between in crust thickness. It's not thin, nor is it really thick. If we go to the gourmet pizza place, I prefer the Jamaican chicken with the thin crust- it's really hot and spicy. (Though typically all the pizza they make is excellent and we usually just do the pizza sampling.) The one pizza I don't like is anything made by Domino's. For some reason it is way too greasy around here, may be better some place else. There's a few great mom and pop pizza places around here though for delivery. |
| #25encaraJul 31, 2008 11:13:34 | That's why in Canada we call it "ham", and we call bacon, well, "bacon". I have no idea why Americans insist on calling ham "Canadian Bacon". Very odd. Not all of us do. At least where I live, a lot of us call it ham. |
| #26lordflashheartJul 31, 2008 11:17:53 | Every part of the pizza is important: Crust, Sauce, Cheese, Toppings. It really boils down to taste. I like Boston style italian pizza: slightly thin crust, a little crispy but still bendable. Nice mix of cheeses, but not too much. I also have developed a taste for Brazilian Pizza. Particularly anything with chicken and spice on it. My least favorite pizzas: Greek and Chicago deep dish. |
| #27nowiwantmydmgJul 31, 2008 12:05:31 | It should have crust, cheese and tomato sauce, other toppings are a bonus. Preferably served cold. Cheese Dipping sauce is a plus. |
| #28kittenstewJul 31, 2008 12:24:23 | I fail to see the disconnection here, chicken is meat. Sorry, let me clarify, I like all kinds of meat on Pizza, including chicken. He really dislikes any meat on Pizza except chicken (so meat lovers is out for him). That's why in Canada we call it "ham", and we call bacon, well, "bacon". I have no idea why Americans insist on calling ham "Canadian Bacon". Very odd. I live in Canada and I have started calling it Canadian Bacon, just cuz I think it's funny. Preferably served cold. Nothing quite like left over Pizza, straight outta the fridge, no microwave. Cold Pizza, Beer, Tylenol, and a vicious Hangover is the breakfast of champions. But you have to include the hangover or you are not, in fact, a champion (My favorite beer for this is usually something aweful like Bud or Lucky's or Pilsner - you know, something that isn't actually good beer). |
| #29consul_vidoJul 31, 2008 12:31:55 | My two favorite combinations are: Chicken, Bacon and Asiago cheese OR Pepperoni and Italian Sausage. (The second option requires I also ingest several antacids as well, but they come later.) I might eat some salad with my pizza, but I don't want it on my pizza. ![]() And I love crust, especially wheat, or if it's been stuffed with cheese or something. Or if I have some garlic butter to dip it in. Man! Now I want pizza... Stupid wisdom teeth, heal already! ![]() |
| #30lordflashheartJul 31, 2008 12:33:09 | That's why in Canada we call it "ham", and we call bacon, well, "bacon". I have no idea why Americans insist on calling ham "Canadian Bacon". Very odd. I think it makes us feel better than you guys: "Don't listen to him, he's Canadian. They don't even eat real bacon with their eggs" |
| #31kittenstewJul 31, 2008 12:36:46 | I might eat some salad with my pizza, but I don't want it on my pizza. QFT. Caesar. |
| #32kittenstewJul 31, 2008 12:40:12 | I think it makes us feel better than you guys: "Don't listen to him, he's Canadian. They don't even eat real bacon with their eggs" I totally eat real bacon with my eggs. :P And on my burgers, and on sandwiches, and in salad, and on potatoes, and by itself ... goodness I like bacon. Other pork products are OK too, but standard bacon is sooooooo delicious. Funny though, I don't care for it on Pizza. |
| #33_jayne_cobb_Jul 31, 2008 13:00:06 | I live in Canada and I have started calling it Canadian Bacon, just cuz I think it's funny. At one point my mates and I started referring to hot dogs as "American Bacon". |
| #34kittenstewJul 31, 2008 13:10:06 | At one point my mates and I started referring to hot dogs as "American Bacon". Bahaha! I'm totally stealing that... |
| #35zombie_babiesJul 31, 2008 13:11:14 | At one point my mates and I started referring to hot dogs as "American Bacon". Well, as an American I must take offense! We have all beef hot dogs, turkey dogs and veggie dogs in addition to the porcine iteration. I believe there's also a peanut dog, plastic dog and even an eco-friendly air dog in development. Calling hot dogs "American Bacon" is just not fair and inaccurately represents our love for processed "stuff" that's tubular in shape. It's a slight against hot dog afficianados everywhere, as well. American Bacon. Indeed! |

| #37kittenstewJul 31, 2008 13:34:51 | Sausage in a bun is german in origin. I'm pretty sure mass produced "skinless" hotdogs are more of an american thing, although you are correct about the origin of hotdogs as a finger food. |
| #38lordflashheartJul 31, 2008 13:40:11 | Sausage in a bun is german in origin. I'm pretty sure mass produced "skinless" hotdogs are more of an american thing, although you are correct about the origin of hotdogs as a finger food. The Hot Dog is most certainly a german invention (probably coming from the Frankfurter Wurst or the wienerwurst). It was even popularized in its current form by German immigrants. |

| #42pigknightJul 31, 2008 15:20:56 | Also French Fries aren't French. I'm going to call them United States Bacon. And because I can I will call churros Mexican Bacon. Rice is now Chinesee Bacon. Sushi is now Japanesse Bacon. [Insert stereotype food of nation here] is now [nation of food] Bacon. |
| #43zombie_babiesJul 31, 2008 15:22:51 | Also French Fries aren't French. I'm going to call them United States Bacon. And because I can I will call churros Mexican Bacon. Rice is now Chinesee Bacon. This elegant system may force me to reconsider the umbrage taken with Jayne's use of the term "American Bacon". Life would be far simpler if everything was bacon. Yes, yes it would. |
| #44_jayne_cobb_Jul 31, 2008 15:28:09 | BACON! |
| #45zombie_babiesJul 31, 2008 15:32:15 | Bibbity-Bobbity-Bacon! EDIT: Mayhap we should start a new thread devoted to The Bacon. This was a pizza thread at some point ... :D |
| #46coston89Jul 31, 2008 15:51:09 | mmmm....bacon..... Well, my favorite pizza is pepperoni/ham/sausage and pineapple. I love pineapple on my pizza. |

| #52tiwaztyrsfistJul 31, 2008 18:14:51 | I'll eat pretty much any pizza, but if I am allowed to order pizza unsupervised, we get a hand tossed or thick crust pizza, with Pepperoni, Jalepenos, and Banana Peppers. |
| #53pigknightJul 31, 2008 18:57:14 | I might need to change the flavor text for Bacon Burst... |
| #54coston89Jul 31, 2008 19:17:26 | Taco pizza is pretty awesome........ Hmm... I have to try this. |
| #55coyoterexJul 31, 2008 19:47:12 | Actually, Canadian Bacon is not ham:The cured pork product which Americans know as Canadian bacon is usually called back bacon in other parts of the world. It is made from the loin cut, which is in the center of the pig's back. As a result, the bacon is much leaner than conventional bacon. Back bacon is prepared in the same way as conventional bacon, with a salting and smoking process intended to cure the meat. Slightly more sugar is usually used, lending a sweet quality to Canadian bacon. That said, either a meat lovers type pizza, or sausage and mushroom with a stuffed crust or thick crust. :D |
| #56zombie_babiesAug 01, 2008 8:45:09 | And RE: Starting a new thread on bacon: And for this, Kittenstew, you rock. Not as much as bacon rocks, of course, but still - you rock. :D |
| #57ADHadhAug 01, 2008 9:23:41 | There is pizza, and there is Pizza Napoletana. The two, connoisseurs say, have as much in common as a premier cru Bordeaux has with the plonk in a screw-top jug. (...) To bear the imprimatur of Guaranteed Traditional Specialty, pizza must not stray over 35 centimeters in diameter nor the crust exceed two centimeters in thickness; ingredients must include type 00 flour and up to 100 grams of tomatoes (preferably Marzanos) applied in a spiraling motion. (...) Who's hungry? |
| #58zombie_babiesAug 01, 2008 9:27:20 | Who's hungry? Uhhh. I .... uhh ... I give up. Who? |
| #59ADHadhAug 01, 2008 9:50:35 | Uhhh. I .... uhh ... I give up. Who? I wouldn't ask If I knew. Other question: who became hungry while reading this topic? I certainly felt an urge to call for pizza. |
| #60zombie_babiesAug 01, 2008 9:54:25 | I wouldn't ask If I knew. That makes sense. But we still have no answer ... Now that question's gonna' be runnin' through my head all day! Dammit! Who's hungry? I've been thinkin' pizza since this thread started. And then bacon. Bacon. It's so ... wha? Oh, sorry. Too bad both of those things have decided to stop agreeing with me. We used to have such a wonderful relationship, too. |
| #61stealthmarmotAug 01, 2008 10:21:14 | Hawaiian Pizza. No onions. But you know pizza is like pie. Even when it's bad, it's still pretty good. |
| #62pigknightAug 01, 2008 17:14:35 | Pizza like a pie? Pizza is a pie. |

| #68pigknightAug 04, 2008 1:16:29 | It's a joke, but really, rule 34 of the interwebz will mess with your mind. |
| #69_jayne_cobb_Aug 05, 2008 11:08:18 | See, I've heard that line before, except replace "Pie" with "Sex" Well the traditional line replaces "pizza" with "sex" and "pie" with "pizza": "Sex is kind of like pizza - even when it's bad, it's still pretty good." |
| #70kittenstewAug 05, 2008 12:30:16 | Well the traditional line replaces "pizza" with "sex" and "pie" with "pizza": "Sex is kind of like pizza - even when it's bad, it's still pretty good." Exactly correct. |
| #71roxlimnAug 05, 2008 16:21:17 | Whoever said that has obviously not had truly terrible pizza. Or sex. |
| #72_jayne_cobb_Aug 05, 2008 16:27:27 | Whoever said that has obviously not had truly terrible pizza. Or sex. Now that kinda reminds me of the statistic I heard the 51% of women preferred chocolate to sex. Some people have assumed that this means chocolate is the better of the two options rather than the far more likely conclusion that 51% of women have never had good sex. |
| #73roxlimnAug 05, 2008 16:40:46 | Hey, don't blame me. There's only so much of me to go around. |
| #74tiwaztyrsfistAug 05, 2008 18:31:07 | Sex is like pizza. If it's really aweful, you probably ordered from Dominoe's. |
| #75kittenstewAug 05, 2008 18:33:10 | Now that kinda reminds me of the statistic I heard the 51% of women preferred chocolate to sex. Some people have assumed that this means chocolate is the better of the two options rather than the far more likely conclusion that 51% of women have never had good sex. This is the same 51% of women that if they had to choose to leave either their husband or their dog, would choose to leave their husband. I have no sympathy for the husbands. These men probably like vegetarian Pizza and would drink wine instead of beer. NO SYMPATHY WHATSOEVER. |
| #76gullasAug 05, 2008 18:43:17 | What is your favorite Pizza and do you like crust? Well it must have four small slices of ham, grounded meat, pepperoni, extra cheese, bacon and pepper cheese ![]() I'm somewhat neutral about crust, I can either eat it or I can't. |
| #77roxlimnAug 07, 2008 0:49:36 | I eat vegetable pizza (not vegetarian anything, though). My wife wouldn't leave me for my dog, and she doesn't like chocolate better than quality time with me. Vegetable pizzas get a bum rap. It's the meat pizzas that are unbalanced. They're broken beyond belief. |
| #78pigknightAug 07, 2008 0:52:10 | Hey we are not going to drag the vegatarian.5 vs meat-e edition wars into this thread. ![]() |
| #79roxlimnAug 07, 2008 0:59:25 | Why not? If meat-e edition is broken, it's only a fact, and we can only improve on the pizza culture by pointing out how it's broken and why. |
| #80calronmoonflowerAug 07, 2008 2:12:17 | I eat vegetable pizza (not vegetarian anything, though). | #81strudel_lumpycakesAug 07, 2008 2:37:15 | Sex is like pizza. If it's really aweful, you probably ordered from Dominoe's. This makes no sense, but I found it hilarious anyway. |
| #82roxlimnAug 07, 2008 2:40:21 | And that's a fact. If only more people would try eating vegetable pizza instead of judging it on paper, they would realize that it eats a lot better than it appears. The chefs have really outdone themselves with vegetable pizza, IMO. Sure, it's not perfect and it can still bear improvement, but it's a mighty enjoyable pizza to eat, and it's friendly even to people who don't normally eat pizza. |
| #83zombie_babiesAug 07, 2008 8:21:53 | Look, I understand that the meat pizza got out of control. I mean, stacking pepperoni, sausage, ham, bacon, hamburger, chicken and anchovies was a bit much, but now we can't have any? Seriously? Why do the veggie pizza chefs feel the need to limit us like this? I just can't enjoy eating a pizza without meat. It's not even pizza! If they called it something else, like "flat sub sandwich" or something, I'd be ok with it. But pizza? Not even close! I personally will not stand for this outrage and will be flaming veggie pizza fanboys until I get my meat pizza back! Veggie pizza? The mere thought of it makes me vomit. It's awful. And I know because my friend sorta looked at one once and he didn't like it so why should I? I'll never read a recipe nor shall I even smell one. I may die if I do! So please, please pizza chefs, kill this abomination or at least stop calling it pizza. Bring back the meat! |
| #84eldritch_lordAug 07, 2008 8:37:15 | The only kinds of pizza I won't eat are pizza with anchovies and pizza with mushrooms--the former because I'm not really a fish person and the latter because at least in my area all the mushrooms come shriveled up and black. You just can't get good mushroom pizza around here. Crust...meh. I like stuffed crust the most (preferably with lots of garlic) but I like everything else too. |
| #85roxlimnAug 07, 2008 8:45:43 | Zombie_Babies: You're just wrong and *insert choice of insult here* so *insert choice of expletive here*. The pizza chefs own the rights to the pizza name. If they decide to call a veggie pizza a pizza, then it is one. My logic and reasoning are sound and beyond question, so that naturally gives me the right to be condescending and imperious in tone. I don't have to respect anyone who's clearly wrong. Oh yeah, pizza. |
| #86zombie_babiesAug 07, 2008 9:09:36 | Zombie_Babies: Ahh. I get it now. The evidence is out! You're just a veggie pizza chef shill! How much do they pay you to come here and lie like this? Huh? And don't tell me I'm wrong. I'm not. It's your opinion that veggie pizza is pizza but it's a proven fact that it's not! *Insert dubious source here* states that if it doesn't have meat it cannot be defined as a pizza! And my friend told me it tastes terrible. The flavor is limited by the chefs so that people with stupid tastebuds aren't overwhelmed by a more complex presentation. Veggie pizza is for kids and dumb taste buds! Bring back the complexity of the meaty taste! If you don't get the taste of meat, you shouldn't eat pizza in the first place ... and if you don't "get" that, it gives me every right to treat you like crap for your opinion. Cuz obviously your tastebuds are inferior to mine. Oh snap! Almost forgot: *Random nonsensical insults and questions of intellect* |
| #87roxlimnAug 07, 2008 10:06:48 | HA! Your *insert referenced dubious source here* is of dubious nature, and we know this is so because I said it! Here's one of my emails to ChefServ about whether veggie pizza is really pizza: Me: Good Day! Is Veggie Pizza a real pizza? So clearly, I have the final say on this matter. There. That's Final. Nope! Umph! Uhm! Nuh uh. Shhh! Allegations that veggie pizza is a lot like computer pizza notwithstanding, it's still real pizza. And one that's not broken like meat pizza with its stacking meat slices. PS: please add whatever level of derogatory and dismissive tone is most suited to insulting you. If you feel that the post is too polite, feel free to interpret it in the worst way possible. |
| #88zombie_babiesAug 07, 2008 10:30:30 | Oh yeah. So my source is dubious but yours is somehow more credible? Of course the chefs are gonna' say that BS! If they don't, they'll have to admit they're wrong. Chefs just don't do that. And I think that email is a fake! Faker! So what if meat pizzas were abusable? You didn't have to abuse them, did you? This isn't even a pizza issue. It's an issue with the guys making the order. Don't blame meat pizza because some morons crammed every type of meat onto it. It's not the pizza's fault it was ordered that way! Jebus! So now, after a vocal minority whined too much about the exceptions we all have to suffer. Instead of dealing with the people that can't order properly, we've had our pizza - the one true pizza - taken from us and have been given a crappy imitation in it's stead. Now, since some people were afraid of the level of options meat afforded (and their tastebuds were too stupid to appreciate it), we don't have meat as an option at all. Insanity! Oh, by the way, veggie pizza is WoW. And a card game. So there. Pizza: The Gathering. Yup. I said it. |

| #90pigknightAug 07, 2008 12:35:48 | You guys do realise I made: Vegie Pizza = 3.5 Meat = 4e I'm not saying meat pizza is better, it's just vegie pizza is really unbalanced. |
| #91eldritch_lordAug 07, 2008 12:52:45 | I'm not saying meat pizza is better, it's just vegie pizza is really unbalanced. Yeah, all those irregularly-shaped vegetables really throw off the center of mass. |
| #92RPJesusAug 07, 2008 22:09:11 | Hehe, heated pizza debate. Also, whenever we order pizza, my mom always gets canadian bacon and pineapple despite the fact that neither me nor my sister like pineapple and I'm not a fan of canadian bacon although it's still a decent topping. Now this wouldn't be an issue except she always eats about one slice of it and lets the rest rot until I finally say "**** it" a week later and just pick the pineapple off to the best of my ability. |
| #93eldritch_lordAug 08, 2008 7:55:20 | Hehe, heated pizza debate. Of course it's a heated pizza debate! There's nothing to debate about cold pizza--unless you're trying to start something. ![]() |
| #94doomsoughtAug 08, 2008 8:28:26 | Hehe, heated pizza debate. to quote another thread "I'd rather animate that than eat it." |
| #95ADHadhAug 08, 2008 11:34:39 | Of course it's a heated pizza debate! There's nothing to debate about cold pizza--unless you're trying to start something. Well, there's always the chocolate pizza, which is served cold I believe. |
| #96_jayne_cobb_Aug 08, 2008 13:46:28 | Actually, Canadian Bacon is not ham: Except that the stuff they call Canadian Bacon is not back bacon. That ring of ham on an Egg McMuffin that they call "Canadian Bacon" is not back bacon, it is ham. |
| #97stormonuAug 08, 2008 13:58:09 | Have to have pepperoni on the pizza - sacred cow and all that, y'know. |
| #98doomsoughtAug 08, 2008 14:03:13 | Except that the stuff they call Canadian Bacon is not back bacon. That ring of ham on an Egg McMuffin that they call "Canadian Bacon" is not back bacon, it is ham. Canadian bacon is actually from the pigs back if I remember right, its mostly muscle and not fat. For some reason the bacon makers decided to give Americans the nasty bacon. |
| #99_jayne_cobb_Aug 08, 2008 14:42:33 | Canadian bacon is actually from the pigs back if I remember right, its mostly muscle and not fat. In Canada there is no such thing as "Canadian bacon". We have normal, everyday bacon (the strips), we have back bacon, and we have ham. For some reason Americans chose to call back bacon "Canadian bacon". The problem arose when they confused those round ham slices with back bacon and thus began to refer to said ham slices as "Canadian Bacon" too, to the point where most of what they call "Canadian bacon" is actually just ham. For example, that slice of ham on an Egg McMuffin is what is commonly referred to as "Canadian bacon", but it is just ham and nothing at all like back bacon. |
| #100pigknightAug 08, 2008 17:14:53 | I said it once I'll say it again:Also French Fries aren't French. I'm going to call them United States Bacon. And because I can I will call churros Mexican Bacon. Rice is now Chinesee Bacon. Sushi is now Japanesse Bacon. [Insert stereotype food of nation here] is now [nation of food] Bacon. People need to stop saying [Insert name of country] [Insert food]. |
| #101spearspikeAug 08, 2008 17:24:19 | I am a shameless Papa Ginos guy. To me it is better than anything one gets in the North End or Little Italy. |
| #102bandamanAug 08, 2008 19:46:15 | The Ultimate Pizza is as follows Thick Crust Extra Cheese Pepperoni Bacon Pineapple (sp?) unbeatable |
| #103markustay63Aug 08, 2008 19:57:09 | You forgot the Ranch dressing on that (it enhances the bacon and Pepperoni flavors). ;) And none of that Homebrew ranch - it's got to be Hidden Valley all the way. Anyhow, real men eat buffalo chicken pizza. And YES, with plenty of ranch dressing (Blue Cheese works in a pinch). |
| #104eldritch_lordAug 08, 2008 21:40:38 | Well, there's always the chocolate pizza, which is served cold I believe. And are you going to debate the deliciousness of cold chocolate pizza? No? Didn't think so! |
| #105drackthorAug 09, 2008 5:56:24 | Not to mention that Canadians happen to refer to it as ham. Go America, look smart. No they don't, silly! They call it American Ham. Regular canadian ham is, what, like, waffles or something? |
| #106ADHadhAug 09, 2008 9:29:29 | No they don't, silly! They call it American Ham. Waffles! |
| #107kittenstewAug 10, 2008 10:25:49 | ...and just pick the pineapple off to the best of my ability. When I was younger, I was like a surgeon with my pizza. Any toppings I didn’t like I would “surgically” remove from the pizza slice before ever touching it. It used to drive my parents crazy. Now I just don’t care enough. Although, sometimes I will remove some of the pineapple if there is too much of it. |
| #108eldritch_lordAug 10, 2008 15:55:23 | Although, sometimes I will remove some of the pineapple if there is too much of it. You can never have too much pineapple on your pizza. :D |
| #109sallaAug 10, 2008 16:10:25 | There's one place in town that makes a pizza that my wife likes. I can't go with her when she eats it, 'cause the smell is too nasty to me. She gets a pizza with sausage and saeurkraut (on the million-to-one chance I spelled that right ...). I'm all ... WTF!? |
| #110coston89Aug 13, 2008 0:35:04 | You can never have too much pineapple on your pizza. :D QFT. I can understand too much veggies but the noble and delicious pineapple is a fruit. How can you have too much of a fruit, specifically the glorious apple-of-pine(even though it is neither apple or pine. Who named this fruit?)? It's like saying there is too much sauce/cheese/meat! |
