Who would win in a violent dispute between the two contenders:

Wonder Woman from DC comics
or
Shota from Legend of the Seeker (Or the Sword of Truth series)

Battlefield is all of "New World" with a 60 year time limit.

I'm giving it to Wonder Woman, she is essentially a female Superman plus magic rope.

Woah! Strange timing! I am just in the middle of the first book of that series and just came across the first ecounter with Shota. I can't chime in on this yet because I don't know everything she can do yet.

@joni - yeah I thought it was going to be about the Abominable Snow Man hehehe

Sound reasoning if we where talking about a slap and tickle bondage fight....

I was thinking Shota vs Loli.

TA, what are the rules? The narrative rules that is.

I'm not sure what you mean. For some reason Wonder Woman and Shota are angry with eachoter to the point of mortal violence. They have 60 years in which to settle the dispute using whatever means they have access to in the arena ("New World").

How would the fight happen, and who would win?

Can we add more to it?

The Arena is equipped with every weapon available in D&D 4th ed (hehe)
Shota is limited to level 10 and under spells available in 4th ed
Wonder Woman gets a rage bonus on all strength checks

You can decide Wonder Woman is a farm mouse and Shota a blueberry muffin if that somehow helps you come to an answer. But I reserve the right to mock you relentlessly. Seems a fair bargain to me.

Of course I can. This is the internet. You can say whatever silly junk you want to, and I can respond however I wish, as long as we both stay within the confines of the rules of whatever fifedom we act in.

But my heart really isn't in it.

I think it depends on how good Shota's visions are. Being able to see the future is obviously a huge advantage, but I believe she even admitted in the books that this ability is far from perfect and she can't control what she sees, and often only sees the events, not what causes them nor what their far-reaching consequences are.

Then again, how old is Wonder Woman by now? Shota might just outlive her.

I mean the story rules. They're literary characters. Shota exists in the SoT world,

spoilered for pureheart's sake
a world in which female magic users are notoriously weak and spend most of their time getting gang raped by the superior male magic users or their minions. If both of them existed in that universe, Shota would win easily, because she's the only remotely powerful, non-victimised female there. Having them both fight under these circumstances would be like throwing two people into chamber filled with nerve gas, with one of them (Shota) wearing a gas mask. Sure, there's a chance the other might survive, but the smart money is on the person with the mask.

Yah, I was afraid of Shota just waiting for her to keel over from old age. Hince the 60 year time limit.

I don't know... Wonder Woman hasn't aged a day since what, the 50s?  Growing old is what happens to people that don't have long-running comic books of their own.

As for who whould win... I don't know this Shota lass, but Wonder Woman is on the short list of heroes that are willing to take a final solution.  When she gets you in that lasso and says "how do I defeat you?" and you say "by killing me", your neck is snapped1.

-------
1Has actually happened in the comics.

Death is not so final in New World. But I'm sure that, if it ever came down to a straight out fair fight, WonderWoman would win. I think you would need more than a magic lasso to corner Shota. however. What with the magic shapeshifting and ability to see the future and stuff. And she has the home court advantage.

Shota is a chessmaster, not a fighter.

I know nothing of shota but what the wiki says is that she is a witch or something. I know little of wonder woman but not much. From what i remember is that there is something somewhere in her comic book history or something of being able to be rendered powerless by men that do something with her cuffs or dominatrix rope or whateves.

So if Shota can shapeshift into a man and stuff then i say victory may go to Shota. Especially if she can be a man with magic and stuff.

However if she can't then i'm sayin' that WW will be able to tie Shota up with her Dominatrix Rope of Justice in order to win the day.

Actually, I think she can only shapeshift into peoples mothers. So no, I don't think she can become a he.

Wonderwoman. She's really only second to one or two Super Heroes in all of DC.
