| #2boraxeJan 20, 2010 9:29:38 | I like the original when I first saw it, but I was 12 at the time. In retrospect, it was crap. This new version looks badass. Shallow as hell, but badass nonetheless. |
| #3The-Mage-KingJan 20, 2010 10:21:55 | I've neever seen it, sadly... I am going to see this one, though. |
| #4EscherEnigmaJan 20, 2010 12:20:01 | Eh. Looks like another action flick that I'll see about a year after it comes out on DVD. |
| #5scypioJan 20, 2010 12:47:53 | I'll definately check it out since I'm a huge fan of the original movie, Greek/Roman mythology, and dumb action movies. Part of me hates how they keep repackaging our youth to us, but I guess it works since I keep buying it up. Although I was surprised that the Perseus character has buzzed hair. But I'm pretty excited to see if it'll be any good. |
| #6pluisjenJan 20, 2010 12:51:56 | It looks... boring :/ And I generally like action movies. |
| #7AbsintaJan 20, 2010 13:21:13 | YES!! This is the first movie I have actually wanted to see since I was 10! Oh, hell YES! All those old Harryhausen movies, cheesy though they may have been( but if you have ever done sculpting, which I do a lot of, you can appreciate them far more---especially having a dad who was a professional animator and showed me how it was all done in person, one of the few positive bonding experiences we ever had), made a major influence on my sense of aesthetics and helped inspire me so much, made my childhood far more bearable than it might have otherwise been. It's funny, even with everything totally updated, when I saw the trailer in the theatre, before the name of the film was mentioned and without having heard there was going to be one, I recognized it and almost wanted to stand up and cheer! |
| #8boraxeJan 20, 2010 14:02:26 | It looks... boring :/ It's funny how people can be so different. To me it looks decent, and I generally find action flicks boring. |
| #9ADHadhJan 20, 2010 16:35:53 | I'll always think of this movie as one of "After Cartoon Network Hits". I don't know how is it in USA, but here CN used to end at 9pm and then TCM would start, most often with either Clash of the Titans or Pat Garret and Billy the Kid :D Now TCM is a separate channel in my TV. |

Shallow as hell, but badass nonetheless. I agree, i mean, come on a lawyer and The Penguin, chosen by the gods...oh wait...i'm getting confused. But yep, i sort of agree, but it hasn't stopped me getting various stuff like this on DVD: jason and the argonauts, the sinbad films, the doug mclure box set (YES!) and valley of the gwangi! |
