#2 zombie_babies Aug 04, 2011 12:23:20	Playing poker with a-listers is a far cry from betting on games you yourself are playing in and/or coaching.  Though I don't really even see a problem with that so long as you're betting to win (and not specific crap like runs scored).  Anyhoo, by the accounts I've read, A-Rod didn't even do anything all that terrible.  When people started fighting, he left.  The worst he could be accused of, IMO, is sitting there with all that blow (and I wonder who was doin' it).  Still, he was told to stop and didn't.  He should be suspended because of that.  But Pete Rose he ain't and, IMO, ain't likely to become.

The problem with that is that, on the nights you don't bet, bookies figure you're DEFINITELY not going to win.  Still, he was told to stop and didn't.  He should be suspended because of that.  But Pete Rose he ain't and, IMO, ain't likely to become. This.  He will never be as bad Pete Rose.  Or as good as Charlie Hustle.

I hate stickin' up for a Yankee - especially that particular one - but he didn't do anything that terrible.  But yeah, he was told by the league to quit playin' and obviously didn't so I can't see an issue with them taking action against him.
