Always this slow?

Mar 29, 2009 2:34:07 I noticed that the forums were crawling around at a Snail's Pace several minutes ago, which seemed to last for an hour or so. Regular maintenance? Or does this happen often?

I've been noticing this, too. Might just be server problems.

Mar 29, 2009 3:13:19 Makes sense. Large severs with multiple forums rarely run perfectly smoothly, and there is no account for other conditions as well. Didn't know if it was just me though, or this old POJ I have running things.

Well, I'm on a junker, too, but a couple of other sites are working fine.

Mar 29, 2009 3:19:31 I say we sue Wizard's for having slow servers. Their Wizard's dangitall. They should have magic servers that never stutter, slow, blankout or otherwise hinder viewing and posting purposes of any kind. I can already smell the money!!

Mar 29, 2009 13:24:42 My guess is that it is a small amount of maintenance that is done. I think this because it has been happening for the last month or two at the same time almost every night.

Mar 29, 2009 14:04:06 Well I joined last night and the forums were pretty smooth, albeit a bit choppy, for an hour or so. Then they shut down for maintenance, which is fine, but it took something like two hours after maintenance was over for the forums to stop lagging behind.

Mar 29, 2009 14:16:52 If you want to know exactly why the forums were acting sluggish then I'd suggest poking your head around the Community Business subforum. You may be able to get an answer there.
