I hate to say I am not at all suprised.  I think she had recently cancelled a tour because of her habits.  I thought she had a good voice, and I appreciated the somewhat "retro" style material she sang.

Very sad.

It's always sad when a junkie can't stay away from the ****.  I figured it would happen when she got back together with her dealer/significant other.

I knew she was a singer, but I knew her more as "the famous chick who was more wasted than Courtney Love".

Looks like jimmy had bigger.

Zing!

Amy Winehouse was simply yet another a junkie who was given piles of money by the music industry.

She was a singer with a deep voice, surprisingly not-rock'n'roll music, an outdated hairstyle and weird make up.
I'll always remember a set of pictures of dollied-up models imitating her awful look in a women's magazine. I mean, hilarious

Here's her only song I know:

Now let's get back to her in 10 years or so...

Stoopid people...

Recently a girl I fooled around with years ago OD'd on heroin.
Her life was a ruin, and she kept helping it along... she basically killed herself. She was only 30, with 2 kids... who now have to stay with "friends". And they are ruined too. Sickening.

Now the one on Norway is locked too? What we can't talk bout current events either?

Anyone else report the ork for cyber bullying?

Norway was locked before Dare.
As it was "explained" to me, current events can be, and usually are, considered political in nature.
So we can't discuss current events or news here... just silly and nonsensical talk allowed here.

Can we report them for cyber-bullying?
I'm game!

Norway was locked thanks to Goldo.
I'm guessing Dare was locked for discussing the merits of pr0n stars, but I could be wrong...

At first the posts were deleted which I estimate was due to a slang word. R_H responded to the moderation which I am inclined to presume lead to the thread being locked.

What did Goldo do this time?

The topic was clean and on topic. Mods have no clue.

The topic had evolved into a discussion of anti-terrorism measures (makes sense, right?) and all of a sudden Mr_Naughty throws in some crap about American involvement in Vietnam.  Totally came out of left field.  Just check out the last page or two.  You'll see for yourself.

Of course, they could have just dealt with goldo instead of locking the entire thread.

I think it was his music thread.

And frankly if you're the OP of a thread frankly I don't see how it can be 'disruptive'.

Also it's the OTT, conversations wander. Nazi-Mods.

I suggested reporting ork whatshername as cyberbullying, and he agreed, then poof... I'm going to call it now. It's all my fault. Why am I still here however?

Did he actually report an ORC for cyberbullying? Well... that was brave... not the brightest thing to do... but brave...

I'm just tired of the fact I've been here longer than any of them (orks 'cept Doxy)...

I think Chaos has been here for that long, too.  She and her hubby were TSROs under one account.  They didn't split the accounts until... '07 or '08, IIRC.  She became Chaos and he became Mimir.

What bothers me most about the whole thing is that she was very clearly self-destructing for a long time. The amount of drugs she was using, the lifestyle she was leading, it only goes in one direction. Clearly needed help, and people make her the punchline of jokes instead. Kinda sad, yaknow?

Last time there was a story about a heron junkie, the damn bird plucked the guy's eye out.  Oh wait, that was a seagull.

What?  No way.  It was too much of something.  Possibly a 'hot shot'.  She liked stuff that could actually kill you.  That stuff can, I suppose, but you'd need to do an asston.  Or have a preexisting condition that, if she had it, would have killed her a long time ago.  Odds are it was a lot of crap that either didn't mix well or mixed too well combined with her very obviously deteriorated condition.  These things typically happen when people party too hard.

MDMA tends to kill indirectly. It often creates an insensitivity to hunger and thirst, in additional to creating a sense of well-being. This can cause one to ignore or not notice the severity of one's condition. Binge drinking by itself can and will kill you (the first example that comes to mind is John Henry Bonham), but combining it with something like MDMA will only speed up the process (and make one less likely to notice their state).
