| #17zombie_babiesOct 16, 2012 11:54:18 | Happy now? What sort of beer? Warsteiner, I hope? Not Beck's, right? Cuz that stuff is awful. Tastes like the foil wrap on the top of the bottle. Awful. |
| #18summerdreamOct 16, 2012 12:34:20 | WARSTEINER!!! is my very favorite Eichbaum (grew up in Mannheim) Pinkus www.pinkus.de/ (used to live in Muenster for a long time, and Pinkus is a small local brewery) And if you truly want to go German, you'll have a Radler! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radler |
| #19zombie_babiesOct 16, 2012 12:41:31 | Warsteiner is pretty awesome. Looks like I've also got a couple of beers to look for now. ;) |
| #20summerdreamOct 16, 2012 12:47:03 | Eichbaum is more on the herb side. It's not as "sweet" as Warsteiner but it's a good one to mix a Radler, since it gives a good contrast to the Sprite. |
| #21SereneChaosOct 16, 2012 12:51:14 | So, I don't really read much or post ever in the OTT, being a strictly MTG Forum-goer. But I just wanted to stop by to say two things: 1) Z_B, I miss seeing your otter in the recent post area. 2) Yay beer! |
| #22jetshieldOct 16, 2012 13:05:53 | So, I don't really read much or post ever in the OTT, being a strictly MTG Forum-goer. But I just wanted to stop by to say two things: Why do you only miss ZB's otter? What about all the otter otters? Are you a stalker? |
| #23KlirshonOct 16, 2012 13:23:46 | Perhaps the OTTer avatar is better received than the hipster costume. |
| #24zombie_babiesOct 16, 2012 13:27:47 | Eichbaum is more on the herb side. It's not as "sweet" as Warsteiner but it's a good one to mix a Radler, since it gives a good contrast to the Sprite. Interesting. Sweet is not something I need in a beer so I think I'll be a-okey-dokey with anything less than sweet. Thanks for the tip! So, I don't really read much or post ever in the OTT, being a strictly MTG Forum-goer. But I just wanted to stop by to say two things: Ah, a fan. I'm happy to hear that you enjoy seeing me around these parts and am truly sorry you're not totally satisfied with the current configuration of my account. I assure you that once the holiday is past I will return to the depiction of myself with which you are most familiar. Possibly. Most likely, really. In all my time here - and through more than a couple of posts - I've only ever used about two or three avatars that I can recall. I like it when things stay the same - it calms my simple mind and makes me feel secure in the very false sense that things will always be the way they are. So fear not, brave forumite. Yon OTTer pic shall return (most likely). Halloween grows ever nearer and, if we survive the impending zombie apocalypse, it will end. Once it does you will be returned to your regular viewing whateverwhosit. Maybe. Maybe not. Who knows? Not me. I mean, it's my decision, but ... Or is it? Being an OTTer carries with it a certain responsibility and expectation. Chaos is imperative. Obviously that's counter to my nature but I am more than my nature. I am also many people - most of which aren't real. Still, I prefer the me that I pretend to be here most of the time even though that me is a lot like the other mes that I don't really care for a lot of the time. That means, of course, that the odds are in your favor. Unless, of course, they're not. For all I know this costume party will go on until the end of time - even though we all sort of hate it and want it to end. But we also love it and want it to continue wreaking havoc on our own little corner of the universe. We? Oh yes, there's a we. Multiple wes, actually. But that's a story for another day. One when my fingers aren't so tired. You don't get over 25k posts writing paragraphs, ace. And there we are. Together, I hope? Sorry, no autographs and definitely no pictures. I trust you'll send a letter to my agent if my performance lapses in any way in the future. Thank you again for your support. I'm nothing without my fans. |

| #27zombie_babiesOct 16, 2012 13:46:53 | I have not read many of your posts, but I find this one admirably written. Mayhap the sarcasm and pseudo-grandiose style are not entirely an act to hide the facade of your true, inner artist. Well ... you should, like, totally read more of my stuff, man. I'm like a friggin' repressed genius or something and my talent is, like, totally wasted on these simpleteons an' junk. I think so, anyway. Cuz, I mean, dood. I'm awesome. So is Korpiklaani, by the way (thank you Pandora). Hmm. There was something ... yes, the point. Er, a sorry excuse for one anyway and one that totally doesn't mean anything at all. But yes, on to it. That post - and many others - come by way of a piss poor channeling of folks like the incomperable Joey (that's what I call him, anyway) Heller and, lately, the barely sane (and also dead) Phillip K Dick. What I read makes me write oddly, on occasion ... though I haven't read any Joey stuff in years. Still, Good as Gold's style has stuck with me - sort of like my OTTer pic has with you, I imagine. Where the hell was I? Let's try something else: trolls. Yeah, I have to say I don't know what you're talking about. But that whole HoT thing in the siggles is, well, it was a gift bestowed upon us by an unwitting adversary some time ago. Let's say it was a slur that we decided to own. And there's more to it than that but I've actually already said a lot. Not that I can't say more, I just don't feel like getting into the history of the Tavern, OTTers and the House of Trolls right now. Anyhoo, our numbers have been depleted and we couldn't spare any folks even if we knew any who had the inclination to troll. We do offer online courses, however, in the art of OTTering - or whatever it's called. They're not cheap but they're worth it. Hell, I took one and look at me now! |
