| #2EscefJun 22, 2011 14:21:25 | Probably because they don't want to take flack from LGBT organizations. We all know that some of them would blow a fuse if someone discriminated against a cross-dresser. (Note that I don't have anything against the LGBT community, I just think some of their organizations are captained by people who will jump at any excuse to go on the offensive.) |
| #3zombie_babiesJun 22, 2011 14:38:36 | They should just friggin' make up a dress code already. I mean, when you say we must obey the flight attendants and then leave all sorts of **** they can get on you about open for interpretation, this sort of thing is bound to happen. Stew A doesn't like saggin' pants. Stew B is cool with it. Stew A demands the person pull up their pants under threat of being removed from the flight. Stew B doesn't. That's ... ****ing stupid. If you're gonna give them that much power, define stuff pls. |
| #4calronmoonflowerJun 22, 2011 14:44:28 | Don't forget that boxer shorts are less reveling than panties, so the second person that was allowed to fly exposed way more than the one arrested for indecent exposure. |
| #5EscherEnigmaJun 22, 2011 14:54:51 | Hrm... arbitrary enforcemen of vaguely defined rules? Why does that sound familiar? |
| #6MaxpersonJun 22, 2011 14:55:37 | Hrm... arbitrary enforcemen of vaguely defined rules? Why does that sound familiar? lol Very nice. |
| #7zombie_babiesJun 22, 2011 15:10:30 | Hrm... arbitrary enforcemen of vaguely defined rules? Why does that sound familiar? Shhhhh! They'll hear you, man! I mean, do you reallGLEEMAX. This post has been terminated. |
| #8calronmoonflowerJun 22, 2011 15:10:38 | Hrm... arbitrary enforcemen of vaguely defined rules? Why does that sound familiar? Because I've been reading Atlas Shrugged. ![]() |
| #9EscefJun 22, 2011 15:14:54 | Hrm... arbitrary enforcemen of vaguely defined rules? Why does that sound familiar? Ayn Rand, a professional at thinking crap that won't work will work. (Or at least she was until she died.) |
| #10jetshieldJun 22, 2011 15:37:07 | The man pictured above flew through the San Francisco airport six days before the saggy-pants incident with 20-year-old Deshon Marman. Perhaps this incident, and the complaints it caused, is what led to them asking saggy-pants-boy to adjust his attire. |
| #11shiningwolf88Jun 22, 2011 17:02:45 | The man pictured above flew through the San Francisco airport six days before the saggy-pants incident with 20-year-old Deshon Marman. but that would make some degree of sense... |
| #12bone_nagaJun 22, 2011 17:11:21 | The man pictured above flew through the San Francisco airport six days before the saggy-pants incident with 20-year-old Deshon Marman. It's possible, but I doubt there is that much communication between employees, especially to the extent that the airline would change its policy within a matter of days without major media coverage pressuring it. |
| #13draco1119Jun 22, 2011 20:32:32 | From linked article: “We don’t have a dress code policy,” U.S. Airways spokeswoman Valarie Wunder told the San Francisco Chronicle. “Obviously, if their private parts are exposed, that’s not appropriate. … So if they’re not exposing their private parts, they’re allowed to fly.” I notice the homicidal_squirrel hasn't posted yet. Maybe because he was hell-bent on maintaining that they have a dress code? Now can I play the race card? Or just use the line "Only in San F__cisco..." |
| #14bone_nagaJun 23, 2011 16:06:05 | I would go with the last line personally. |
| #15draco1119Jun 23, 2011 17:39:57 | Yeah... me, too. |
