I never said it was fake, just scripted and choreographed, like most reality television shows.

It is.  Totally.  By the way, this is what people that think wrestling is real look to the rest of us (read: normal people).

Speaking of wrestling, I always hated the Rock, everyone seemed to like him and that just made me hate him more. that and he always refers to himself in the third person, The Silversword hates that!

A buddy of mine was all excited yesterday. Apparently, he got a support call from some guy named Mike Hickenbottom. First I laughed at such a silly name, then I had to ask why I should care. Seems that that's the real name of some old "profesional wrestler".

I still wonder why I should care.

So it seems. A quick search tells me:
Michael Shawn Hickenbottom (born July 22, 1965), better known by his ring name Shawn Michaels, is a retired professional wrestler, and an American television host.

And there you have it.

I still don't really care.

There is another famous Shawn Michaels, but he doesn't wrestle... errr... well kind of. He films naked wrestling with the ladies. If your friend had goten a call from that Shawn Michael, I would have been impressed.

I think likin' rasslin' is indicative of some sort of genetic defect.

So it's exactly like NASCAR?

Totally.  And likely related.  Like, a lot of NASCAR fans also like rasslin'.  It can't be coincidence.

Good point. Maybe they should just combine the two. Have wresling on the track during a race.

Yeah, that's a great idea.  And then maybe, you know, encourage fan participation.

That would be awesome!
We should write up a grant proposal and get funding for this. We can do some research and see what we find. I bet you it'll mean an increase in the national I.Q.

I bet we run into opposition from Hollywood, though.  Lucas won't like us attacking one of his areas of expertise (incest).

Good point. Maybe we can add in some Star Wars fans playing with their light sabers on the track while watching wrestling during a race.
