How is this a feel good story? The police arrested four VICTIMS of society. How dare they interfere with the efforts of those poor men to take what other people had worked for. They should be entitled to take what they like from others without fearing vigilante justice. Tongue out

All we can know for certain is that a few men gathered around a store and that some of them hated windows.  Some may or may not have hated windows but we can't tell from the video.  What we can tell is that they like sitting on motorcyles - which is not a crime.  So some men may be guilty of hating windows and some may not.  And there's just no way to know whether or not these window haters attacked in order to get out of some sad position and, if they did, then it's terrible some old lady hit them with her bag.  They should be given every opportunity to get out of whatever terrible state it is they're in.  And it's possible that they all live in homes with windows that treat them poorly and they were just reacting against these evil window overlords - in which case they should be lauded for taking a stand.  Let's all just stay calm, retain only one perspective and blame society like we should.  If we all just donated our life savings to social programs, these poor children wouldn't have had to deal with terrible window overlords and this never would have happened.  We don't need old ladies with a sense of justice, we need more money funneled to window/hoodlum relation programs, dammit!

Don't forget that there must also be laws regulating hand-bag ownership. Did she really need to be able to hit that many people with a bag? Wasn't there any other way besides injuring these poor men who more than likely were only trying to feed their starving families? The old lady needs to be arrested and charged with attempted murder.

Good point!  There's no reason for any woman outside of cotillian clubs, knitting circles and those with one or less arms to own a bag like that.  It's a dangerous implement that makes it all too easy to hit poor, window oppressed young men who are just trying to feed their starving babies.  If she only had her withered fists, she likely could have only injured one poor boy.  One, of course, is too many but any way to minimise the ability of the people to protect themselves at the physical expense of crimin ... boys just trying to feed their starving kittens is a good thing.  This woman should have allowed them to steal whatever it is they liked like a good person would.  That she used a weapon in her assault shows that she's no normal grandmother but a raving sociopath bent on ruining the victimised youth of a nation.  Disgusting, really.  We need to get these dangerous weapons out of the hands of the people.  We don't need them.  Just let crim ... acts of desperate food and resource gathering done for the benefit of many, many baby dwarf hamsters happen naturally.

We must gather all OTTers and march on the streets chanting "Down with purses! Down with purses!" This mass assault should never have been allowed to happen. If only the British government had had the sensibility to ban purses. I've seen women carrying purses that could hold a fat dwarf. Why would you even need such a purse? Do you have any idea how many people can be injured by such dangerous and over exaggerated purses? Are they not satisfied with just carrying their necessities? The world would be a much safer place if women used wallets like men.

That's too true.  We need to save ourselves from ourselves.  Maybe sell all of the confiscated purses to some backwards country like Quebec and then donate the profits to some sort of societal program designed to educate citizens in how to properly respond to those poor young men just trying to feed their families.  Maybe offer classes like 'How to take a stabbing with grace' and 'If he punches you in the face before he takes your wallet, that means you're not donating enough'.  Stuff like that.

Wherever we are getting to, it sounds like a dangerous place. I say we make laws banning getting to wherever it is we were going.

Is it necessary? Most people who post in the net do not go outside.

Yes, because obviously even just a few people posting on the net are a danger to all people.

Wahat? They should have been shot! The moment they hit that glass, they became criminials worthy of hanging!

No! They should have been given some jewels, food and a bit of gas money. Do you know how expensive it is to raise a family in the UK? Have a heart you heartless fiend. The old lady should go to jail. Ban all purses! Ban all purses!!!

The old hag should be in jail for life! Does the UK have the death penalty? She should get it... at least three times!!! And she probably is part of some capitalist Prada hand-bag militia. How could she have attacked those poor people. It is so sad that they had to live in a society that made them become thieves.

It was their economic situation that forced them to try to rob the jewelry store. Even worse, the poor guy's scooter was probably damaged. It doesn't matter that it was probably stolen, he was forced to steal it dammit!

As for the window, it should have donated to the poor. If it had been a good, decent, and charitable window, it would have opened up and helped him put some of those jewels. Capitalist windows. For shame. They are the cause of poverty in the UK.

Lies! Lies! All Lies!
You don't love freedom. You are the epitome of a capitalist dictator!
You want windows to oppress the poor hard working people who are forced to rob to make ends meat! How dare you claim you are GoldoVictim? You should be ashamed of yourself. You should have called yourself GoldoVictimizer_window_loving_nazi_capitalist_hater_of_freedom. You tax the poor and give to the windows. You just want the poor to live under the domination of windows.

If it was up to you, all windows would be given free over sized Loui Vitton handbags and you would dedicate every Sunday as the day that windows get to abuse the children of these poor criminals by beating them with the handbags! Go finish writing Bristol Palin's book of windows and handbags... you jerk.

Kudos to the old lady.  If she were a man, I'd call her ballsy.  Stupid, for attacking someone with a sledge hammer with only a handbag, but ballsy.

Kudos, also, to the peoplewho finally woke up and helped her hold 4 of the 6 scumbags.

Eh, not to disparge her courage any, but there's a good chance that it's because she was a little old lady that she managed to pull it off without getting hurt.  People (even criminal people) are much less inclined to get violent with someone that reminds you of Betty White then someone that's just another punk playing hero.

This is true, but there are people in this world who would think nothing of using their sledge hammer on that old lady.

Just saying.

Ignorant! Typical left-wing propaganda and lies to steal the hard earned money windows sweat standing still protecing us from evil nazi criminials with hammers on scooters.

I bet those were hipsters and you are a sympathizer. You are a communist-fascist-hipsters who is afraid of hand-bags. You are not man enough to even touch a hand-bag.

You are the Glenn Beck of windows. Go marry a Palin...

What this story really tells us is that the so-called "hooligans" need handbags to defend themselves from the windows' imperialist agenda. Every aspect of these young boys life is affected by their lack of ability to retaliate with the same force that was used against them. The entire world needs handbags, not just the lapdogs of window imperialism like this granny.

Since we can't get rid of all handbags then every individual should have them. It is the only way to true equality. The handbag genie is out of the bottle, it is time everyone had access to the power.

Did you know that handbags can be the fuel of the future? Surely it's not dangerous to let a few young boys have access to handbags so that they can better themselves and live greener lives in the process.

Handbags should be regulated. You would probably allow people to openly carry their handbags and flash them at people passing by.

These boys aren't "hooligans". They're freedom fighters! Why should the windows be the only ones with access to materials to make handbags?

They struck out against their oppressors. In fact, I bet the granny planned the whole thing so she could spark a preemptive strike against anyone she deems to be a "hooligan".

Not always the case (obviously).

Warning: the link above contains audio from an uncensored radio program and, therefore, some explicit content, some very dark humor, etc.  It also contains a video (not right at the start but they do show it) that shows a white haired old lady and a large, younger gentleman in the entrance area of a building.  He is then shown removing her hat.  Not gently.
