| #1Cpt_MichaJun 06, 2011 8:22:34 | www.msnbc.msn.com/id/43277881/ns/world_n... I think we're on a roll now. |
| #2Cpt_MichaJun 06, 2011 10:11:04 | Yep. Honestly I'm waiting for the official declaration of war with Pakistan at this point for housing Al Queda. |
| #3ADHadhJun 06, 2011 10:38:02 | Well, if I was a terrorist searched for by several armies I'd hide someplace "terrorist-free" as well... |
| #4Cpt_MichaJun 06, 2011 10:48:44 | Especially when that 'terrorist free' place is more than willing to help you hide. |
| #5bone_nagaJun 06, 2011 11:31:47 | Yep. With what army? We're still deploying troops to Iraq and Afghanistan, we just don't have the manpower for another front on this war. |
| #6EscherEnigmaJun 06, 2011 12:05:30 | With what army? We're still deploying troops to Iraq and Afghanistan, we just don't have the manpower for another front on this war. IIRC, that's why we've been using drones in Pakistan for years now. 'cause declaring an actual war requires more resources then we're willing/able to spend. |
| #7MaxpersonJun 06, 2011 14:15:34 | I think this was said a month ago. Send in the Indians. Let them crush Pakistan against the anvil for a few years. India and Pakistan are both crazy enough to use nukes. |
| #8bone_nagaJun 06, 2011 15:51:40 | India and Pakistan are both crazy enough to use nukes. Is that necessarily a bad thing? |
| #9Robin_HoodlumJun 06, 2011 15:59:47 | It always makes me feel pleasant to read good news like that! Thanks Cap'n! I only hope we send more of 'em on their way... |
| #10Cpt_MichaJun 06, 2011 16:36:09 | As I said before. Let India sort em out. And as for nukes, is that a bad thing really? Honestly who's going to miss Pakistan? |
| #11MaxpersonJun 06, 2011 16:40:33 | I don't know. Saying that it is not a big loss if Pakistan and India nuke each other sounds kind of racist. Maybe I am wrong. But then..........who would answer my tech questions? |
| #12EscherEnigmaJun 06, 2011 16:40:58 | It's not racist, it's nationalist. |
| #13bone_nagaJun 06, 2011 16:41:05 | I don't know. Saying that it is not a big loss if Pakistan and India nuke each other sounds kind of racist. Maybe I am wrong. Who said anything about race? |
| #14Cpt_MichaJun 06, 2011 16:41:43 | I don't know. Saying that it is not a big loss if Pakistan and India nuke each other sounds kind of racist. Maybe I am wrong. Name something, anything of value that we use that has come from pakistan that couldn't easily be made elsewhere by actually civilized countries. |
| #15MaxpersonJun 06, 2011 16:41:56 | As I said before. Let India sort em out. Radiation clouds and the potential to pull others in that region into it would make it a bad thing, yeah. Not to mention, there are a lot of innocents in those countries. |
| #16Cpt_MichaJun 06, 2011 16:43:59 | Well it's not like we can afford to put the Kaibosh on the Pakistan government and Regime change them, we'd have to rely on someone like India or Russia to do the job. (India obviously being the most willing I'd think) Yeah it'll suck for the innocents, but you have to wonder at this point just how many of them are really innocent over there, considering just how many major leaders we've bagged and or tagged in Pakistan or along the border. |
| #17homicidal_squirrelJun 06, 2011 16:48:23 | I don't know. Saying that it is not a big loss if Pakistan and India nuke each other sounds kind of racist. Maybe I am wrong. Call centers. |
| #18Cpt_MichaJun 06, 2011 16:58:42 | Goldo, they don't even have running water thoroughout their country, and there are more than a few places where they have never seen a car. Pakistan's living conditions are squalid outside of a very few areas. It isn't civilized. That aside, they hate us, and they don't contribute signficantly to the global community at large. They could all be exterminated overnight, and beyond maybe a day's inconveinence no one would really notice. |
| #19Cpt_MichaJun 06, 2011 17:02:53 | If that's the way you see it *shrug* I don't really care. If India really saw it fit to glass it which I doubt they would (so much potential real estate to be had there!) there'd be some great human rights outcry, and nothing would actually be done about it. Because, again at the end of the day Pakistan doesn't do anything that significantly matters for the rest of the world. They'd end up with a slap on the wrist at best, and you know it. |
| #20MaxpersonJun 06, 2011 17:04:13 | Ok, it only sounded racist, but now it is. It actually sounds Third Worldist, since you could apply that statement to any backwater third world country. |
| #21Robin_HoodlumJun 06, 2011 17:06:53 | If the muslim countries stopped broadcasting anti-semitic propaganda continually (they even have childrens programming where Jews are portrayed as sub-humans that drink the blood of arab children) and anti-US/ West propaganda, and started caring for their citizenry in a responsible manner, maybe, MAYBE then people would take them seriously and give them respect. |
| #22Cpt_MichaJun 06, 2011 17:13:23 | Ok, it only sounded racist, but now it is. Also very true. If anything I am a Third Worldist, not a racist. It's more the fact that I detest regions that don't even try to uplift themselves. It's the penultimate in laziness, which then creates anarchy in that region. |
| #23Cpt_MichaJun 06, 2011 17:34:34 | No, more like their government is lazy toothless and inneffective at doing anything other than bitching and whining at UN meetings. Their govt's make profit solely based on the suffering and dying of their people, and are either in league with, or are terrorists and or war criminals to maintain power. (See Libya) |
| #24EscefJun 06, 2011 18:10:43 | To a certain degree, I have to agree with Micha on this one. We give these countries millions upon millions in foreign aid money. Pakistan has nuclear weapons, but many parts of the country do not have sewage systems, clean drinking water, electricity, etc. We are talking about a system that in those few areas where it is not corrupt or incompetent it is impotent. |
| #25Robin_HoodlumJun 06, 2011 18:44:39 | I don't think goldo wants educated. He just likes calling people a "racist"... although I don't think that word means what he thinks it means... |
| #26EscefJun 06, 2011 21:35:24 | I don't think goldo wants educated. Inconceivable! |
| #27toastedamphibianJun 06, 2011 23:28:04 | Racism is not limited to race. Yes it is. |
| #28pluisjenJun 07, 2011 9:09:22 | While we're nuking backwater countries, we should hit Texas as well. Although I can understand why people don't want to send anymore resources to these countries, and I can pretty much support that, harsh as it is on the innocent people there. |
| #29Cpt_MichaJun 07, 2011 9:12:37 | While we're nuking backwater countries, we should hit Texas as well. Texas produces and refines oil. Can we just nuke the non oil related parts? Otherwise, yeah I'm game for that. |
