They could go inbetween the plates. I'd propose a more drastic, salt-the-earth measure. Or poison-the-anthill, as it would be.
True, not a very elegant method and the salvage may be corrupted... but at least the bassards stopped crawling all over the terrace and ma planted a nice little bush there; not bad for a "what if"... wait, what were we talking about again?

I think we were talking about how ants are like the internet, but I just dont see it, I mean really you could take just about anything and make some comparisons to the inernet (or ants) and say see! Trees are just like the internet! Al Gore invented trees you know.
