Awesome. I'm not much of a fan, but as a local this holds great interest for me.

Apr 20, 2011 17:40:04 Yeah, Dodgers are a big market team. I don't think that MLB can maintain this for any prolonged length of time, though, without questions about the "integrity of the game" coming into play. It seems more like declaring martial law until things are back in order.

Ultimately, I think he'll end up being forced to sell the Dodgers after this. I don't think he can afford to keep them, especially with the likelyhood of his wife getting half ownership.

Well, that's not entirely true. It's also a product of the times I grew up in. You see, I was a kid when the Cards were in the Series three times in the 80's with guys like Ozzie Smith and Willie McGee. That was great. Listening to my Dad talk about the team from the sixties with Bob Gibson, Kurt Flood, and Lou Brock was something to.

I don't pay much attention to other teams unless they're playing the Cards. This year is a rough one with Wainwright down and now being in search of someone to fill the closer role and of course the Pujols contract controversy. But hey, I paid for the Gameday audio so I could hear the games and that's what I'm gonna do.
