Any players or DM's in Gwinnett CO. Georgia? or Near?

Jan 12, 2010 15:07:53 Pretty much just the topic of the thread. I am new to this, and i would like to find a group somewhere near me where i can play. I figured it could be an interesting thing to do. Oonly problem is, how to start? Can one even play by themselves? If needed... Would much rather like to find something. If anyone here plays out in that area, or knows maybe where to go... I would very much appreciate a response. Thanks

This is not the place to look for a group - hence the bold, gigantic titled thread saying so. Wanna find a group? Go to the place for that. Why do people think 'Off Topic Tavern' means 'Place to find a group'? Jeebus this is getting annoying. Oh yeah, good luck finding a group, OP. If you do, you won't be posting threads like this here anymore. ;)

EDIT: To help you get started beyond finding a group, it's as simple as getting a hold of the Player's Handbook and a set of dice. To be a DM, you'll also need the DM Guide and Monster Manual. Other than that, the best way to learn is to do. Find that group and learn from the people that know.

The reason I made that thread was twofold: One, to stop annoying board clutter and two, to direct people looking for a group somewhere that may actually help them. We've been getting a lot of group search threads lately and we've been giving the same responses over and over. Anyhoo, your other questions are well suited here or in 4e General, IMO. People will be able to help you find out what you'll need to get started - just not help you find someone to play with (beyond posting the link I already did ;) ).

Thanks for the help. =) Been lookin to try this for a while ever since i started smoking, rofl. no relation to what i think about ppl who play it. but getting stoned and playing this just sounds like a good idea
