| #1mikeejimboJul 14, 2008 12:25:48 | Yeah, their forums are down, but I wanted to share a thought that I had about it. If you accept the belief that Celia is Lawful Good (Although I guess she doesn't have to be) then she represents the other end of the Lawful Good spectrum compared to Miko. Whereas Miko was quick to jump to the conclusion that someone else was basically evil, and uphold the law that way, Celia believes people are basically good. Thoughts? |
| #2zombie_babiesJul 14, 2008 12:52:00 | Order of the who? I don't think anyone here would be into that ... |
| #3ADHadhJul 14, 2008 13:20:15 | Yeah, their forums are down, but I wanted to share a thought that I had about it. I think Celia is rather NG, if you take into account her unwillingness to hurt anyone, including the enemy hobgoblins. Roy Greenhilt fills the role you've mentioned though. |
| #4rictras_shardJul 14, 2008 13:25:24 | Order of the who? I don't think anyone here would be into that ... In case you are being serious about not knowing about OOTS, it is a (imo) hilarious webcomic based on D&D. My favourite episode of the strip is this one: http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0007.html |
| #5mikeejimboJul 14, 2008 14:00:27 | I think Celia is rather NG, if you take into account her unwillingness to hurt anyone, including the enemy hobgoblins. Yeah, that's actually the other alignment I could easily see her as being. Either way, Roy is not quite as naive to think everyone is good, but you're right that he would tend to give the benefit of the doubt, at least. |
| #6Narf_the_MouseJul 14, 2008 14:04:23 | No. No-one here reads OotS. Now go away, you gimpy D&D nerd! :D But, more seriously, OotS is awesome. Roy is LG with NG and even CG tendencies (As indicated when he died). |
| #7timelordsimoneJul 14, 2008 15:02:11 | I agree that Celia is probably NG. Does anyone else think Greysky city might be where Baron von Tyrant is? Or whatever the hell his name is... (The guy who has Haley's father held hostage.) |
| #8mikeejimboJul 14, 2008 15:22:43 | And also happens to be Elan and Nale's father? That's possible, though I would think his city would be more organized and less criminal. |
| #9_jayne_cobb_Jul 14, 2008 15:32:40 | LAst one I read was the strip when Roy found out how long he'd been dead. Is it funny again yet or is it still bogged down with story? |
| #10zombie_babiesJul 14, 2008 15:36:22 | It's still kinda' bogged, IMO. It's moving, but not fast. That said, I still liked the newest ones. They're just not as fun as the older stuff. At least it moves faster than Goblins. Gods that's goin' nowhere fast. |
| #11mikeejimboJul 14, 2008 15:38:33 | There are a few good lines here and there, but yeah, mostly story. I haven't even checked Goblins in a while. |
| #12holy_beholderJul 14, 2008 15:53:32 | Goblins has 2 new strips as of this week. As for order of the stick, probably most of the people on this board have read it. Its hilarious. Although I would say Celia is neutral good. Miko is more of a Lawful good in name person. Kind of like Kore from Goblins, only LN instead of LE. |
| #13pigknightJul 14, 2008 16:00:02 | Miko is LG, like my paladin is LG: Only one random smite from CE. Roy acts more NG than LG. Also, anyone know the alignment of Red Cloak? (NE? CN? N?) |
| #14mikeejimboJul 14, 2008 17:19:39 | For Redcloak I actually don't know. I think of him as somewhere around Lawful Evil to Neutral Evil, though. |
| #15annoyinglizardvoiceJul 14, 2008 17:30:55 | I'm reading from the graphic novels rather than online, so I'm a bit behind you lot. From what I've gathered, Miko is supposed to be Lawful first, good second, where as Roy is the other way round. I'd say that Redcloak is Lawful Evil, as he does try to add a bit of order and common sense to his boss's plans. |

| #17Kobold_AvengerJul 14, 2008 23:37:21 | Actually Milo is Stupid first, Lawful second and Good a distant 3rd IMO. |
| #18d24478667Jul 14, 2008 23:56:05 | Nah, unable to admit she's wrong first, stupid next, then lawful, and then good. That's how I see her. |
| #19pigknightJul 15, 2008 0:00:06 | Actually she's unable to admit she's wrong, stupid, chaotic, then evil. Remember she lost her powers from smiting, and LG is a couple random killings away from CE. |
| #20DKaseJul 15, 2008 0:31:04 | I think it's Lord Hinjo that's supposed to represent the sane LG as he's also a Paladin, yet not a raving lunatic. |
| #21nowiwantmydmgJul 15, 2008 14:15:18 | Yes, Order of the Sitck is awesome; now if only comics could be released on a semi regular basis so junkies like me could get our fix. |
| #22ciaranJul 16, 2008 9:25:13 | I'm going to make a prediction right now that at the end of the series Redcloak and Durkon will duel, and Durkon will die. |
| #23gullasJul 16, 2008 11:57:16 | I'm going to make a prediction right now that at the end of the series Redcloak and Durkon will duel, and Durkon will die. Ah but you forgot that Durkon has +1 on attack rolls vs goblins so redcloack dose not stand a change against him;) |
| #24pigknightJul 16, 2008 13:23:14 | But Durkon is going to forget about it (like that one guy forgot about his saving throw). |
