Anyone know where the original artwork came from?

2008
Desperate Spell - Franz Vohwinkel
Turning the Tide - Steve Prescott
Snap Out of It - Zoltan Boros and Gabor Szikszai
That'll Do - Eva Widermann
Minion Slayer - Matt Cavotta

The actual pics could help, since most people do not play Magic: the Dungeonnering.

They are from D&D RPGA Reward Cards. If I could get at the pics directly I wouldn't need to ask where they came from. The PDFs of the Reward Cards can be downloaded here, and the password is RPGARewards08.

If the artists have their own websites, most of the time the images list whether or not the image was commissioned for a particular work...

Also, if you have smaller versions of the images from the pdf's of the cards, you could check out TinEye (tineye.com) and do a reverse image search to find larger versions of the images, which will quite possibly lead you to finding a gallery or website with the image on it that happens to list what it was commissioned for.

Failing all else, you could take the time to search through all the WotC art galleries on the main site - it'll take several days, but if it's been published in a WotC book, it'll be there.

Just off the top of my head and not having time to look in the books...

I think Desperate Spell was originally in Arcane Power.
Turning the Tide is either Martial Power or MP 2.
Snap Out of It might be either Psionic Power or Divine Power - I've seen the pic before but don't own either book...
I'm pretty sure That'll Do is either in one of the Martial Power books or one of the Player's Handbooks....
I don't recognize the Minion Slayer pic...
