So it seems im somethign akin to a leeper on the 4e boards, and cant get any answers to my questions. Mabey someone here will be able to help:

Bravura Presence: When an ally who can see
you spends an action point to take an extra action
and uses the action to make an attack, the ally can
choose to take advantage of this feature before the
attack roll
. If the ally chooses to do so and the attack
hits, the ally can either make a basic attack or take
a move action after the attack as a free action. If the
attack misses, the ally grants combat advantage to all
enemies until the end of his or her next turn.

I'd rule C.

I don't really want to get into a long-winded discussion about it, however, but that's how I'd rule if I were the GM as that's how it reads to me.

I have a major headache right now so it's not making complete sense to me right now though C looks the most correct. I'll need to read through it again in the morning when my head is feeling better.

It says if you hit rather than if you don't miss.

So only one of those attacks from Storm of Blades needs to hit.
The Reliable keyword got errata'ed do some similar wording.

Each time I attack with that standard action, am I not using that action gained from an action point to make an attack?

Here is the way I'm seeing it.
Storm of Blades Barbarian Attack 13
You lift your weapon again and again, each blow’s impact
fueling the next swing.
Encounter ✦ Primal, Weapon
Standard Action Melee weapon
Target: One creature
Attack: Strength vs. AC
Hit: 1[W] + Strength modifier damage.
Then repeat the
attack against the target or against another creature
within reach. You can make the attack a number of times
equal to your Constitution modifier.

RED: The red would be the actual Storm of Blades attack. It's not the whole power or all of it's abilities.
GREEN: This is the attack's special. This is the attack's extra little effect.

Now while looking at Bravura Presence it seems to me that it would only work with the Red. The Red is the attack that, if used because of an action granted by an action point, triggers the Bravura Presence class feature and so the class feature only effects the Red and not the Green. The Green is just a repeat of the Red. I see the Green as only happening because of the Red because it is an effect of the power and not the actual attack of the power. If the power however said something like "Effect: Make a number of attacks equal to your Con modifier" or "Attack: Strength vs. AC (a number of times equal to your Con modifier)" then I'd be led to believe that the Bravura Presence might trigger after each attack from the power.

Another important thing to note:
Bravura Presence: When an ally who can see
you spends an action point to take an extra action
and uses the action to make an attack, the ally can
choose to take advantage of this feature before the
attack roll. If the ally chooses to do so and the attack
hits, the ally can either make a basic attack or take
a move action after the attack as a free action. If the
attack misses, the ally grants combat advantage to all
enemies until the end of his or her next turn.

Even though Storm of Blades consists of many attacks it is still only one attack power and all the attacks come during one attack action. It can be reasoned that the whole attack using Storm of Blades is one attack action and the attack consists of one actual attack which the power has you mimic X number of times. It is only one action and so only gets the Bravura Presence bonus applied once and only to the first attack in the whole attack series seeing as how it's the real attack or the main one and the others are copies of it.

(I'm assuming that Bravura Presence is triggered by either a basic attack or an attack power even if the power consists of multiple attacks. If it triggers off of every attack then classes that use multiple attacks such as the ranger would be extremely strong with this feature for they would be able to make double the attacks (4 attacks instead of 2) while everyone else just gets one extra basic attack.)

Does this make sense?

I think another way to state it is that storm of blades grants one attack.
Hitting with storm of blades grants more attacks.

So, the extra attack gained from using an action point would be the first attack only. The other attacks were gained from hitting with storm of blades rather than with the action point.

The choice between basic attack or move action would only apply to the first attack

Does that make sense?

Ach. It appears I have almost the same problem.

I personally would say (C), but the DM always has the final say. Essentially, results may vary.

Yeah, this. The first attack would have to hit to grant the advantage.

The basic attack or move action, which ever one is chosen, would be taken once every attack in the Storm of Blades attack power has been resolved for that is when the attack action is resolved. If the initial attack misses then the remaining attacks do not happen for they only happen if the initial attack hits.

(just want to make sure this is clear too)

Why would it be granted after every attack? The attacks after the first are not granted by the action point. They are granted upon fulfillment of the 'hit' condition rather than spending an action.

That is a typo by me.

What it is meant is that every attack will be made before the Warlord's class feature gives its bonus. It is not suppose to be read as they will get the effect after every attack but that every attack will be resolved before the attacker gets the warlord's class feature bonus applied once.

Ok, now I understand.

What do you guys think of this?

Well, as you say it's pretty unclear.

Bravura prescence says 'an attack' and 'the attack roll'.
It seems to be written with using the action point to make
one attack in mind, but as written I think it works as follows.

Bravura Presence: When an ally who can see
you spends an action point to take an extra action
and uses the action to make an attack,

-My Barbarian Ally uses an action point to take an extra action
and uses the action to use SoB.
the ally can choose to take advantage of this feature before the
attack roll.

-Before Attack Roll number one he chooses to take advantage
of this feature before the attack roll.
If the ally chooses to do so and the attack
hits, the ally can either make a basic attack or take
a move action after the attack as a free action.

-The Attack hits and he uses a free action to make a basic attack
If the attack misses, the ally grants combat advantage to all
enemies until the end of his or her next turn.

So far so good, now my Barbarian Ally chooses to take advantage
of the Bravura Presence feature before the second attack roll.
Why couldn't he? He's still making an attack using the extra action
gained from spending an action point, he still fulfills the requirement.

If someone would spend two action points to get two extra actions
and would use those extra actions to make attacks he would surely
get the option twice.

If "an attack" would refer to one attack only someone would
only be able to use this feature once per extra action, but it is the
nature of 'a' that it opens the reference up to all entities that the
following noun refers to.
By raw, I believe he should get the option to use Bravura Presence again.

I still go by my ruling. It says "the" attack roll, not all attack rolls, in the case of "an" attack allowing more than one roll. It doesn't follow RAW that you should, and saying that it does doesn't make it so. I love how people say "by RAW", when it isn't the case at all - either way is an interpretation of the RAW.

Besides that, it seems pretty obvious (to me) what the intention of the power is: using it before a single attack, not each roll.

... yeah.

*shrugs*

As the way I interpret it, the extra action comes after the attack action. The attack action being the full use of an attack power. No matter how many attacks an attack power gives you it is still one attack action (Only one action [minor, move, standard] is used to make the attack). The bonus comes into effect once the attack action is resolved and all other requirements are met.

I think that "attack action" is meant to mean that one has used an action to make an attack.
