| #1williamhm75Mar 24, 2010 15:19:05 | At least it is for me. The next book in the Dresden files as well as safe hold, and House of Night books is going to make it awsome for reading material. Then I might even be able to restart my blood angels 40k army with their codex coming out, looks interesting just need to see if I can fit it into my budget lol. Just thought I'd post this and see what series other people are eagerly awaiting. I have several others that I read but sadly some of those won't be out for awhile. June for the next Honour Harrington Novel, but oh well it will be awsome I hope. Anywho what books are you guys salvitating over coming out? |
| #2EscherEnigmaMar 24, 2010 15:27:30 | ... books? Oh hey, I just noticed that another volume of Runaways and Young Avengers is in trade paperback! Can't believe I missed those! Should probably pick up another volume of Y: the Last Man and Fables while I'm at it. And hey! Silver Borne is going to be out at the end of the month! Oh, and hey, another Hollows book came out! I'll need to pick that up. ... still want to pick up the rest of the Age of Apocalypse stuff, but those are a bit pricier so it'll have to wait. And I want to get caught up with Astonishing X-Men, but there's a lot of catching up to do there... |
| #3zombie_babiesMar 24, 2010 15:31:24 | Brett Easton Ellis' repeatedly delayed new novel (Imperial Bedrooms) is allegedly coming out in June. I am guardedly excited about it as it's been supposed to come out for a while. |
| #4williamhm75Mar 24, 2010 15:32:07 | ... books? New Hollows Book where where? You mean after the sanction one cause that was awsome, and yes I'm also eagerly awaiting silver borne as well. I haven't been into comics too much do want to pick up the lucifer series though. |
| #5EscherEnigmaMar 24, 2010 15:42:08 | Yeah, the Sanction one. I haven't been to a proper book store since Christmas, so I'm guessing it came out since then. |
| #6williamhm75Mar 24, 2010 15:51:14 | Yeah, the Sanction one. I haven't been to a proper book store since Christmas, so I'm guessing it came out since then. Ah yeah Febuary I think, it's quite good faster paced then white witch black curse, also has an absolutley hilarious ending. And Nick is still a BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep. |
| #7Cpt_MichaMar 25, 2010 21:47:45 | She needs to lose her stipulation against killin and Murder Nick haha Or have Ivy do it. How many Dresden books have come out since Small Favor? I gotta get that one yet. (Having been unemployed till now has really damaged my book buying) I've got several books to catch up on. This year is going to be a year of alot of videogames, novels, and rpg books. |
| #8williamhm75Mar 25, 2010 22:41:16 | She needs to lose her stipulation against killin and Murder Nick haha Your in luck only Turn Coat which was awsome. You also missed the end of the Aleran Codex series I believe, and woot about not being unemployed anymore! I also forgot to ad that Kelly Armstrongs new book comes out this month as well its in her teen series but very well written, and in the same world/universe as the women of the other world series. I know you also play 40k Micha any thoughts on the new BA codex coming out? I think it looks interesting enough that I almost want to redo my BA force but not sure which way to go with it. |
| #9Cpt_MichaMar 25, 2010 22:53:42 | We just had Gray Smurfs come out (I don't care that they are painted Grey. that codex plays better Codex marines, than any of the codex books AND better non codex lists... :Phil Kelly single handedly proved without a doubt both can be done in one book), so I've not been exactly keen on paying attention to the Blood Angels release. I'd just get the Space Wolf book and use it. Because really unless BA is designed by Phil Kelly, or Cruddace it's not going to be as well done as the Space Wolves, or Guard. My own marines are going to use the Space puppies book. (I used to play BT) GW did finally get something half right and gave a Space Marine hero an Eviscerator with the new BA Book. But other than him there's not much about it that jumps out at me yet. Oh dear christ it's written by Matt Ward. Stay away Will. Stay far away. Matt Ward is the moron that wrote the Ultramarine circle jerk known as the last Codex Space Marines. (And current SM aren't really all that hot on the table top in performance either so it's not like you are going to get an especially powerful army from the poor fluff writing either) From what I gather his Fantasy books aren't that great either. Basically if it doesn't have Cruddace, or Phil Kelly on the penning I wouldn't think about it too much right now if it's from Games workshop. |
| #10MechaPilotMar 25, 2010 23:00:54 | I have to confess it's been a while since I actually found a regular book that I like. I've mostly been reading graphic novels. It's the same thing really. |
| #11derkartographerMar 26, 2010 3:42:10 | The only books I want are: A Dance with Dragons Towers of Midnight (Wheel of Time 13) Hopefully GRRM doesn't die before he finishes ASIOF. At least Brandon Sanderson is healthy enough to finish Wheel of Time. |
| #12williamhm75Mar 26, 2010 8:35:27 | We just had Gray Smurfs come out (I don't care that they are painted Grey. that codex plays better Codex marines, than any of the codex books AND better non codex lists... :Phil Kelly single handedly proved without a doubt both can be done in one book), so I've not been exactly keen on paying attention to the Blood Angels release. LOLZ well most of the silliness seems to be in the fluff not the actual rules. It seems to really fit the BA style of play, and deep striking land raiders would just be amusing, besides I refuse to use the drunken frat boys rules for anything, especially after reading the HH Novel Thousand Sons. |

At least Brandon Sanderson is healthy enough to finish Wheel of Time. Just about given up on waiting for A Dance With Dragons. He's had more than enough time to write it, just like I gave up on Elven Bred by Andre Norton and I forgot who. Also waiting on the next one in the Ring of Fire series by Eric Flint and David Webber 1635 The Eastern Front should be really really good when it comes out. |
| #14boraxeMar 26, 2010 10:40:09 | Hopefully GRRM doesn't die before he finishes ASIOF. WTF? ![]() |
| #15williamhm75Mar 26, 2010 10:58:53 | Hopefully GRRM doesn't die before he finishes ASIOF. Well Martin is a bit old, and it's been a long time since Feast of Crows. If it's the abreviations your confused on the series is A song of Ice and Fire. The O should be in fron of the I. ![]() |
