I love J!NX with a passion, got all my nifty-sweet clothes cheap and they came about a week early, super awesome ![]() So, what kind of gaming swag (outside the obvious books and dice) do you good folks have? |
| #2The-Mage-KingApr 27, 2009 8:39:57 | I've got two D&D tee-shirts that I got at Steve and Barry's when it was still in business. Needless to say, they're damaged. |
| #3EscherEnigmaApr 27, 2009 14:49:58 | I work at a job where I have to look professional, and don't like changing my clothes when I get home. So I have only two days of the week where I can wear what I like to wear, and I already have enough t-shirts leftover from high school to cover those days. So I don't really have any gaming swag. |
| #4baneofelvesApr 27, 2009 15:48:39 | I have my crappy clothes for home, but my good stuff (stuff that I order online or get at Hot Topic and other places like that) are for when I hang out with people and want to look good. |
| #5Reg06Apr 27, 2009 16:01:02 | A good 75% of the shirts I own are Dr.McNinja tee's. |
| #6s-marrowApr 27, 2009 16:36:27 | My elevated social status will be satisfied with nothing but the finest $5 t-shirts from the Wal-mart bargain bin. I guess I bought a Teach the Controversy shirt once. |
| #7ciaranApr 27, 2009 17:16:37 | GiantITP has some goods ones if you like OOTS. Aside from that, check out any Hot Topic-esque stores. Gaming conventions will usually have them too. |
| #8toastedamphibianApr 27, 2009 18:54:23 | Most of my shirts are free. Cause I'm lazy, and hate to shop. |
| #9Mad_JackApr 27, 2009 21:02:52 | I'm actually something of a t-shirt elitist... Although I have a bunch of generic blue and black t-shirts that I wear to work and don't mind getting trashed... When I go out I generally only wear Rocky Horror Picture Show t-shirts - most of which you can only get if you went to the particular convention they were printed for. Of course, I've got about ten of them, so I'd probably be wearing them anyway just because of the large portion of my total t-shirt ownership they represent. |

Usually, one will have a presence that dominates a Gencon with the typical geek culture fare. Like EE said, corp casual gets top billing, 5/7 days . Any t-shirt, jeans, shorts, whatever, such a nice luxury on the other 2. That being said, yeah, kitchy geek chic stuff gets a look and raised eyebrow now and again. Day off was the modified Subway font/color/layout ("eat fresh"), subbed "Zombie, Eat Flesh". Got a chuckle or 2 playing disc golf. Still, it beats a shirt & tie. |
| #11erleniMay 07, 2009 9:50:19 | I usually wear one of the many heavy metal t-shirts I collected over the years. My favourite is still the Blind Guardian longsleeve shirt with the Silmarils on the arms. |
