About the width of yo momma!

Which came first: The fetus or the mother?
#3

Ragnar_Lodbrok

Jun 24, 2009 1:48:21
According to the Theory of Evolution, the fetus.

Was that supposed to be unanswerable?

Don't hark on my mellow, you fiend!

Speaking of which: Is it mellow to be mellowed, but not mellowing in mellow?

No.

Can't you do better than that?

Muahahahaha! Bwahahahahahaha...! *Ahem* I don't know who you are trying to accuse with that.

How melancholy are your doorways?
#13

EscherEnigma

Jun 24, 2009 11:04:07
They're not. We're renting an older house that above most of the doorways has a pane of glass to let light through, as well as the trim being painted a soothing white. As such, they're quite cheerful, really. Thankfully the doors to the bathroom do *not* have the panes of glass (not that it would really matter, they're above the door so all you can see through them is the ceiling of the next room anyway, but it's the principle of the thing).

Does your home have hallways?
#14

jhonesy

Jun 24, 2009 11:08:22
Yes. But my interior design sucks. Plus, I tried to make wallpaper with egg sandwiches. It didn't turn out nearly as good as I had hoped.

What's a hallway anyway?
#15

EscherEnigma

Jun 24, 2009 11:25:23
Hallway
1 : an entrance hall
2 : corridor

Corridor
1 a: a passageway (as in a hotel or office building) into which compartments or rooms open
b: a place or position in which especially political power is wielded through discussion and deal-making
2: a usu. narrow passageway or route: as a: a narrow strip of land through foreign-held territory
b: a restricted lane for air traffic c: a land path used by migrating animals
3 a: a densely populated strip of land including two or more major cities
b: an area or stretch of land identified by a specific common characteristic or purpose

Alternate definition: "Something my house does not have"

Does your home lack any features normally seen in a home, and if so, what are they?

I, sir, am from Canada. We live in igloo's up here. Nothing more exists then a simple dome of high-ceilinged, circular ice with a bed in the middle and a cooler near the ice-door. Also, beavers.

Salmon. You know, 'Fluffy' or 'Spot' or whatever esle you guys name your fish. ;)

What names have you used for your pet fish?
#21

jhonesy

Jun 24, 2009 11:55:46
I named my own Japanese Fighting Fish (also known as a "Betta"), Bubbles, 'cause he was all like "I blow bubbles when I breathe!" Yeah, he was cool. Until I introduced him to Ariel, my goldfish. He (Bubbles) tore that poor little guy to pieces. So, then I named him Ripper. :D

What about "taking" a pee?
#28

EscherEnigma

Jun 24, 2009 14:31:54
It's a stock phrase used to express disbelief and amazement. A common, though not universal, association is that the stimulus for the stock phrase is being seen negatively.

No clue on that one, I consider it to be a perfect example of odd and/or bad grammar that is accepted for no other reason then it's common usage. But I might be wrong.

Mystery or knowledge?

What type of book do you enjoy the most?
#46

zombie_babies

Jun 25, 2009 8:50:51
That depends on what I've been reading. Right now, something odd and violent. Other times it's been something pleasant and adventurous. Currently I'm reading Palahniuk's new one: Pigmy. Quite odd. Not too terribly violent. Yet. :D

What are you currently reading?

Not sure that I have one. Maybe Cat's Cradle by Vonnegut. Yes, KV wrote Sci Fi. Duh. :P

Do you like the Sci Fi channel's new name (Sy Fy) or does it sound too much like some dirty act of pheremone crazed furries?
#49

Jun 25, 2009 9:06:17
The second. Not to mention that it reminds me of syphilis(as written in greek).

Will the furries* be offended?

*Before I entered the OTT I had no idea what a "furry" is. It's all your fault!

Who cares? Them guys/gals suck anyway. They wanna be like animals so we should treat them as such. You don't worry about whether what you're about to say is going to offend the nearest Blue Jay or not so don't worry about these idiots in fur suits, either. ;)

I'd use him in a passive hostile takeover of the entertainment corporations by getting him interviews with every top executive where he would cause them to realize the worthlessness of their work and abandon their duties to go rethink their lives. And then maybe have him make me a cup of a substance which is almost tea.

St. Peter, by accident. He was getting frustrated with all the slow-downs and clogs and long lines of rejected souls waiting at the elevator, so one day he shouted in frustration "Why can't we just have a one-way ten-lane highway to clear up this mess?!". Satan liked the idea and implemented it immediately. The work is a bit shoddy, though. Afterall, the only engineers that Satan gets are the kind that cut corners.

Where do we go from here?

Why, to the song from the Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Once More With Feeling of course.
Where Do We Go From Here?
Group - Where Do We Go From Here?

Dawn:
Where do we go from here?

Buffy/Spike:
Where do we go from here?

Giles:
The battle's done,
And we kind of won
Giles/Tara:
So we sound our vict'ry cheer
Where do we go from here?

Xander/Anya:
Why is the path unclear?
When we know home is near

Group
Understand
We'll go hand in hand
But we'll walk alone in fear
Giles:
Tell me
Group
Where do we go from here?
When does "The end" appear?
When do the trumpets cheer?
The curtains close
On a kiss god knows
We can tell the end is near
Where do we go from here
Where do we go from here
Where do we go from here

The Sheriff did and he paid for it-you see, Leila has been secretly behind the whole thing and set her favourite pet at him...

Aug 28, 2009 12:46:44

I think there's only about four of 'em left that are anywhere near magnificent.  Two are kind of mediocre and one's just plain bad.  Still, it's better than something that's worse.

If I wrote a blog, would you read it?

Probably something that I could write about with very, very little effort.  Likely nothing at all.  I actually already have a blog entry thing but it's not a real sort of thing.  Yep.

What should I blog about?

What are ye gonna be bloggeratin' about?

#655

I've never been comfortable with blogging. Nothing worthwhile to say. Hm...I don't know, it might be a short story blog. Besides, writing in a language other than my native and not making foolish mistakes is still a work in progress as far as I am concerned.

The company that created it did shoddy work. They overcharged Lando Calrissian too.If this becomes knppwn to the public, we'll have a galaxy-scale scandal in our hands-a well known Star Wars character was the head of this not-so-respectable-after-all manufacturer company.

#795

Too hard to bet on.  That and they'd have to train and certify GMs an' junk.  An' that'd be 'spensive.  Oh, there's also the possibility that GM bias could taint the results no matter how well trained they were.  So it's just too dicey (get it?  well, do ya?) for Vegas - a place of a surprising number of rules and regulations not applicable to other cities.

How many looners does it take to wind a clockwork chicken?

None.  The chicken winds itself.

Who would make a clockwork chicken that couldn't wind itself?

#907

The same one that would make an indoor sundial.

#1069

zombie_babies

Oct 23, 2009 9:25:08

Likely, but no.  B'goo was actually the brine used for the care of Illithid young.  A character of mine was constantly eating things he shouldn't.  And he was dumb.  So he thought that this shipment of brine which we had taken was actually Illithid food - Brain Goo - which he shortened to B'goo.  After trying some  (tasted terrible) - cuz eating brains gives you knowledge and power, he did exceptionally well in his next battle (or thought he did) and so it became a ritual of sorts to take a shot before a fight.  And that's the story of the origin of B'goo.  A really, really stupid misunderstanding.
