Everyone report your 4e Avenger status.

See? the one problem with giving someone a derogatory name, is that you have to at least bother to make it something that can't be twisted into a good thing.

As an avid fan of 2e, some of 1e and all 4e.

My Avenger status is Platinum not gold or silver, get it right. My Avenger likeness? Captain America baby. (but not dead. unlike the Cap)

I am a champion of balance so characters do not feel utterly worthless next to others, I am a champion of balance because quite frankly the monster would attack the superman first and get him out of the way. And the come back to the inept heroes (read warriors and bard) later.

I am a champion of a game that does not tell me -how- to role play as well as a system that does not have 10000000000000000000 skills which could easily be only a handful or so.

I enjoy a game that has enough stream lining that it feels intuitive but is not needlessly stupid (3e in it's 'streamlined' parts is needlessly stupid) 2e had -too- many rules but at least it was somewhat intuitive.

4e is a very fluid streamlined but -more- indepth system than anything we have had in the past.

I don't like classes that can do everything and anything at will (read caster of 3e) better than everyone.

All of this is why I am a platinum avenger.

What's your status?

Bronze. Fourth edition seems better than third edition, but there are other games by other companies that are better than either.

While not technically an Avenger, see the sig below, I would say gold/silver at the moment. Mostly gold, but I am having to change more of my mind set than I thought. Clerics shocked me, fighters delighted me, and I am just about to get to the palies which I think I am going to like.

I normally play clerics, because someone has to, and have not got to the feats and rituals yet, so the cleric does seem a bit limited at the moment. The fighter though, whoop! Whoop! I have this idea for an npc who uses and axe and shield, went through the powers and went ‘yep, he wants that, and that, ooooh I hadn’t even thought of that!’ Originally I was going to multiclass him with a bit of warlord, but I am not sure he can afford to lose his toys.

Oh one complaint, the book lay out, especially with the powers is taking a bit of getting used to, for me it’s not instantly clicking into place.

I'm up to Adamantine status. Strongly pro-4th edition, especially since they're incorporating game concepts from some of my favorite tabletop games other than D&D. I plan on having a lot of fun with 4th edition, and more when 5th edition comes out.

As for my likeness, can I be the Hulk? Because you wouldn't like me when I'm angry. That and the fact that I'm big and green.

Ok, I'll go with a Silver membership...I'll take The Sentry as my profile.

I'm an old timer kinda set in my ways about D&D but I'll cut 4th ed some slack. I'm waiting on my books and prepping a campaign. B'sides, alla youse dat 'r' complainin' 'bout dis 'r' dat don't mean nuthin' t' me, only MY opinion counts...t' me dat is....

Mine? Electrum.

Since Angry Mojo took the Hulk, can I be Spider-Man?
I promise not to make any crappy (or otherwise) deals with Mephisto

Avenger status: Pimp, if such a level of awesome exists. 4th edition, honestly, is the finest evolution of the game I've ever seen.

I'm Rick Jones.

Assembled!

Also I never thought the term Avenger was apt for the pro 4e crowd(of which I am a part), seems like the 3.Xers might have more to avenge.

I suppose Defenders or some such doesn't have a nice ring though.

I think we need two tiers. One for the newcomers, and one for those of us who were duking it out on 4E Concerns and Criticisms and took over that forum after it had been a stinking cesspit of hate for most of 2007.

As for status? I wasn't ever officially given status. I was called an Avenger by the "villains" for behaving like them and fighting along side them, and I just started calling myself an Avenger at that point. Backdoor membership.

Well I'm a newcomer so I don't think I can have higher than platinum. But I do have enough pent up venom from 3e (trying to make that balanced for 8 years..)

Anyone that I guess defends 4e could be considered an Avenger on some level. (and lord knows we have enough superheroes to go around)

Well that's good for you.

Good thing we have the Avengers. Your evil plot will never succeed.

Would have worked better if you went Doom. That way if you lose you can all ways find a way to turn that loss into gain.
