I had zero intersting in seeing the movie until I found out Hawkeye's gonna be in it, have I mentioned that hes my favorite Avenger? I was never big into the Avenger types, those were the ones my mom read! I was more into the guys who werent so goody goody, like Punisher, no super powers just a guy with guns, I guess thats why I liked Hawkeye, no powers or special robot suit, just a dude with a bow and novelty arrows.

ANd yeah I heard they was going with a different Hulk, not sure why, maybe the last dude wanted too much money? But on the subject of Bruce Banner he was born in my hometown of Dayton, Oh! I cant believe that theres not more hoopla about that round here, like big billboards proclaiming that this is the birthplace of the Incredible Hulk! I guess its cause hes a fictional character, damn rascists!

Theyve also gone through 3 different Punishers, the last guy, whats his name, was pretty good, but hes still no Dolph Lundgren, haha.

I'd already heard this but why is the Banner character being played by the third dude in as many movies? I havent heard the answer just that it had happened.

This trailer looks sweet.

I heard Ed Norton was a D-bag, and he was too demanding. THe producers decided to go with someone who was easier to work with.

I heard that as well.

I just love the exchange between Captain America and Tony Stark.

I thought that part was funny as well.  I mean, what are any of the Avengers if you take away the powers/tech that makes them more than human?  (which is basically what Cap was saying).

I still need to see Iron Man 2 and The Incredible Hulk.
But since Captain America I'm all riled up for this movie and I've never really cared for any of the featured Avengers, with maybe the exception of Hulk (even tough I can't imagine him working well with others).

Close.  According to the EW article with the Avengers article that I read, Norton was the one who wasn't happy with the producers and director.  Apparently, he wasn't a fan of the finished product and didn't want to have anything to do with the Hulk franchise after that.  And they've already said that they are going to focus on this group of superheroes and not be showing "a bunch of off-duty heroes in the SHIELD cafeteria".  I still wouldn't be surprised if they show one or two.  Any guesses?  Like maybe someone working on Vision?

Also, Loki is the BBEG in this one (as he was in Avengers #1), and they've said that he has the help of an alien race but won't admit which one.  Any ideas?

I'm guessing either the Skrull (the green ones that can take human form) or the ones from the animated Ultimate Avengers.

Captain America was a little wussbag until he got shot up with super-secret government 'roids.

And one of the major points of the movie was that he always remembered it.

Haven't seen Cap's movie yet. I don't think anyplace in my area still has it playing. But when I think of Cap the big thing that I recall is this lovely video of the old Avengers arcade game (a 4-player side-scrolling beat-'em-up) that pokes fun of the irony that the game had a couple "Winners don't use drugs" logos, but one of the main characters is all about the 'roids.

EDIT: Found it.

Not really big into the comic book movies anymore (er, other than the current Batman franchise) but that looked interesting enough to check out.  However, any movie that Samuel L is in where he doesn't drop the m-f bomb is kinda ... surreal.  Tends to take ya out of it, ya know?    But yeah, I'll probably check this out.  That scene between Stark an' Cap was pretty funny, too.  That and the NIN trailer music helped sell it.  Oh, and explosions.  And Loki.  And ScarJo.

Pretty sure Skrulls being involved was already "leaked." My friends and I have been waiting to see if they're going with prosthetics or shizzy CGI.

Why not both? The Frost Giants in Thor were done this way.

We're more interested in what they do for "hero shots" and close up. It's a given that a large crowd of Skrulls will be made with shizzy CG even if the main Skrulls are prosthetics.

Also, even if they decide to use CG to smooth out prosthetics, we still consider that to be prosthetics because you get the more natural physics of having something physically moving around that you don't get by mo-capping alien skin over someone's face.
