I totally want one of those - both the crossbow and the cannon, lol...

Stuff like that makes me want to go out in the garage and start tinkering. I think I might see if I can find my father's half-finished crossbow he was making from the leaf spring of a car.

That actually sounds like a cool idea. So cool, someone already beat you to it.

Harrasing birds and monkeys, what else?

I think the cannon has more of a "smug douche" vibe to it, which makes me like it more.

I have this weird fantasy of miniaturizing myself with a couple of friends, don space marine armor and take heavy weaponry to infiltrate an anthill... or at least go fly and beetle hunting.

Ah, but my father's crossbow wasn't just using one of the springs, but almost the entire setup right off the car... It probably would have gone through an engine block, lol. Cool

In that case, I suggest you finish it and put up a video.

It better use a heavy duty truck leafspring.

That would really do the job. (note I'm not sure what you'd use for a pull cord that would be strong enough to put full tension on that, and you might need one hell of a gearbox to turn it) The important thing is what you use for the tensioner.

I need that mini crossbow.  It's just too damned awesome an object not to have.

If you want to change the channel to an accending order of holes in the television, you are correct.
Apparently the remote control device is either too complex or lacks the satisfaction granted by shooting a visual entertainment system.
