The world will not be ending in December, so don't take out that high-interest long-term loan...

That is a lie. The shadow government wants us unprepared for the time of upheaval.

Actually, 12/21/12 is still supposed to be the end of an age.  Who's to say that there won't be a time of upheaval?

Well, the Avengers movie is out, Dark Knight Rises will follow shortly, the Hobbit movie is coming out before 21st and the Euro2012 is starting soon... What else is there left?

Oh yeah.
We need to postpone this apocalypse thing then.

Except for Dead Alive, which is still hilariously awesome.  And King Kong was horribly cast...

Like the kind of upheaval we have when going from December to January?

I was thinking more along the lines of "LA Riots" type of upheaval.

Perhaps something like the Cabbage Patch Kids riots in the early 80s?

Or the Quiet Riots of the mid-80's...

Or an Atari Teenage Riot.  I saw these crazy bastiches in concert when I lived in SF; one of my managers was a friend of theirs.  For the finale, the DJ came out in full football pads (including helmet!), with a giant strap-on, um, strapped on.  Dude set a record on fire, let the damn thing half melt, and then played it as the intro...

Craziest thing I ever saw at a concert, and I was at the first New Year's rave on Treasure Island, back in '98.
