"Jerry Leiber, the lyricist who, with his partner, Mike Stoller, wrote some of the most enduring classics in the history of rock ’n’ roll, including “Hound Dog,” “Yakety Yak,” “Stand By Me” and “On Broadway,” died on Monday in Los Angeles. He was 78." Link "Nick Ashford, one-half of the legendary Motown songwriting duo Ashford & Simpson that penned elegant, soulful classics for the likes of Diana Ross and Marvin Gaye and funk hits for Chaka Khan and others, died Monday at age 70, his former publicist said." Link Man, that's some serious talent there... They'll definitely be missed. |

Oy, Grohl is more than just a former Nirvana drummer. He's a very talented chap, a multi-instrumentalist. Foo Fighters ain't half bad. |
