| #1homicidal_squirrelJan 20, 2011 23:29:10 | It seems we have the villains for the third installment of the Chris Nolan Batman movies. It's going to be Cat Woman, played by Anne Hathaway; and Bane, played by Tom Hardy (British guy from Inception) screenrant.com/dark-knight-rises-anne-ha... |
| #2homicidal_squirrelJan 21, 2011 6:45:21 | I hope so. Wha I'm really interested in is Catwoman's costume. |
| #3zombie_babiesJan 21, 2011 7:28:19 | I hope so. Wha I'm really interested in is Catwoman's costume. Yes, this is most important. Anne Hathaway is amazingly beautiful. They better show her off right, dammit. ![]() |
| #4homicidal_squirrelJan 21, 2011 7:43:04 | I suggest a lightly painted on costume. |
| #5boraxeJan 21, 2011 7:52:24 | Anne Hathaway ≠ Catwoman. Someone get Rosario Dawson on the phone, stat! |
| #6KillerGMJan 21, 2011 8:32:18 | Could be interesting. I'm not getting my hopes up, though - I was very excited about The Dark Knight, and was sorely disappointed (Batman Begins was great). I mean, I won't be going to go see it in the theatre anyway, since I rarely go to movies (yay kids and having a humongous TV!). But I'll catch it when it comes to DVD. I was never really a fan of Bane, and there are a few "interpretations" of Catwoman that make me retch, so I can't really get excited about it. But Christian Bale is a hottie, and so is the guy playing Bane, so w00t! |
| #7pluisjenJan 21, 2011 8:51:30 | I'm curious about Bane... I've only known through one of the older movies (Batman and Robin I think?) and he always struck me as a henchmen type, not a villain on his own. I guess I don't know the real one because they mentioned he wasn't going to "look like that" and that's the only Bane I know... What kind of a villain is Bane? |
| #8homicidal_squirrelJan 21, 2011 8:55:07 | I'm curious about Bane... I've only known through one of the older movies (Batman and Robin I think?) and he always struck me as a henchmen type, not a villain on his own. This should explain Bane fairly well. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bane_(comics) |
| #9pluisjenJan 21, 2011 9:10:28 | Thanks, that does explain. The real Bane looks a lot more interesting then the Batman&Robin version of him. Looking forward to the movie I generally like the Batman movies, including the new Batman Begins and Dark Knight... probably like this one as well. |
| #10homicidal_squirrelJan 21, 2011 9:42:18 | I've liked the Chris Nolan Batman movies so far. What I'm interested in seeing, besides the Catwoman costume, is how the do Bane. |
| #11homicidal_squirrelJan 21, 2011 11:04:03 | Costume? I just want to see her naked. She did show her breasts in Brokeback Mountain. Seeing as that has a snow cone's chance in hell of happening, a skimpy costume is the next best thing. |
| #12homicidal_squirrelJan 21, 2011 11:36:09 | While the nudity would be great, l'homme chauve-souris would not. |
| #13homicidal_squirrelJan 21, 2011 11:49:06 | What he is saying makes no sense. Obviously... He's French after all. |
| #14zombie_babiesJan 21, 2011 12:20:51 | Anne Hathaway ≠ Catwoman. Someone get Rosario Dawson on the phone, stat! As big a fan of Anne's assets as I am, I must admit that this proposed casting adjustment would not bother me in the least. Rosario dancin' to ABC on the roof of Mooby's is an image I shall carry with me always. And she can act pretty good, too. |
| #15homicidal_squirrelJan 21, 2011 12:38:51 | If you're not interested in the acting, I'm sure there is an adult version of the batman movies. |
| #16EscherEnigmaJan 21, 2011 14:06:27 | I'm curious if she'll be Selina Kyle or Catwoman. I make the distinction because the "official" press releases I've seen made no mention of Catwoman, and I have to wonder if that was intentional or not. Anyway, it'll have to be an awesome performance to compare to Pfeiffer's Catwoman. She's pretty much the entire reason I have a copy of Batman Returns. Easily one of my favorite interpretations of the character. |
| #17homicidal_squirrelJan 21, 2011 14:17:28 | Interesting. I hadn't noticed the distinction in the press release. It is possible that with the "closer to reality" aspect that Nolan has for the Batman movies, it may actually be the Selina Kyle character without the Catwoman costume aspect. Which makes it even more interesting to see how the Bane character is done. Also, totally agree. Pfieffer's Catwoman was awesome... and awesomely hot. Now if we could just create a time machine and go back undo the making of Halle Berry's Catwoman. |
| #18zombie_babiesJan 21, 2011 14:27:39 | Yeah, Pfieffer was awesome as cat woman. And not just cuz she was hot. |
| #19JhariiJan 21, 2011 15:25:34 | Anne Hathaway ≠ Catwoman. Someone get Rosario Dawson on the phone, stat! Zoe Saldana please, thankyouverymuch. |
| #20zombie_babiesJan 21, 2011 15:37:58 | Zoe Saldana please, thankyouverymuch. I prefer Rosario, actually (if we're set on kickin' Anne out, dammit! ). But yeah, I don't think I'd be too upset if they cast Zoe. Or Thandie Newton. ;) |
| #21zombie_babiesJan 21, 2011 15:43:13 | Cuz she is? Cuz, you know, she is. |
| #22homicidal_squirrelJan 21, 2011 15:45:37 | Anyway, it'll have to be an awesome performance to compare to Pfeiffer's Catwoman. She's pretty much the entire reason I have a copy of Batman Returns. Easily one of my favorite interpretations of the character. She's hot. You know she's hot. You know you want her... to have never made her version of Catwoman. |

| #27KillerGMJan 23, 2011 15:25:39 | Yes, Pfeiffer was great as Catwoman. I also really enjoyed the Batman: the Animated Series portrayal (of both Kyle and Catwoman). In The Batman (the cartoon series), she looked really cool, too, but IMO lost a lot of the give-and-take that she had in B:tAS. Julie Newmar is still my favorite, though. ![]() Though she was without the complexities of later Catwomen, I cannot express how just damn cool she was. |
