| #1strudel_lumpycakesFeb 04, 2009 16:26:28 | My school is putting on a battle of the bands in a couple months. Tell me what you think of my band concept. The whole group is in matching white robes, and wearing silver half-masks. On the far left and right, two keyboardists will sit, on raised platforms. One keyboard will be set to an organ effect, while the other will be playing that synthy choir. A dozen or so vocalists will stand in the center, swaying gently. There will be no words as such, rather an improvised conglomeration of spoken tongues and animal sounds. Two guitarists will waltz around them as the song progresses. A cluster of string and wind instruments will surround a gong near the back. The sound will be fed through great quantities of distortion and reverb. All the speakers will lay face down on the stage, causing the very room itself to pulse. Roughly half the sound produced will be subsonic - silent but inescapable. The whole affair should last about 13 minutes. Any suggestions? I hope to make the experience memorable. |
