I'm looking around for ideas and google just returns the typical "4th ED Gift Pack". I was hoping for a kick-a** DM hat or "Mace of Anti-Whining" or something fun like that... |

| #4johnfdonohoeDec 13, 2008 19:04:19 | "What price range are ya lookin at?" Hmmmm $50 or lower. "Oh, and what's their age/gender?" A thrity-something-ish man child. |

Practical: more credit, or everyone just pitch in and buy the DM's dinner/beer/etc every game night for 'x' amount of sessions. Get a firm committment on this. Inspired: discretely find out their favorite RPG artist. Get said print (nothing too garish, something to accent "gaming room/area"). An 11 X 14 Parkinson, Mimura, Elmore, whatever. Buy a prefab matte/frame, not custom (pricey). Intimate: uh, PVC hood & ball gag? Bring out the gimp for ultimate LARPing |
| #8webby140Dec 14, 2008 9:11:10 | Make him a t-shirt with one of your group's slang terms... architypal example: "Rocks fall, party dies!!" It might cost you a little bit, but he'll appreciate it more than a generic gift. |
| #9crazy_monkeyDec 14, 2008 9:17:11 | One of my Play-by-Post players from a while back was an artist and did a custom piece for me, the face of which is now my avatar. ;) So, if any of the players in the group are creative, doing something personal like that is a surefire bet. |

I agree with all apart from the first. Never really saw the point of gift vouchers. The art one I think is a great idea, this year I've commisioned some pieces for a few of my players. Can't think of a player of mine that I'd want to get the last one from, but that's a problem with the sort of players I end up with. |
